Think it's not so easy... for example with zebra 2.6, after the time bomb, I deleted all the files the installer placed in the hd, prefs, etc, but the plug write somewhere other info I can't trace and then can't delete. The final result is: deleted everything, reinstalled the plug (vers. 2.6) but it doesn't accept the serial anymore. I had to re install the 2.5.4 (last working version).

The Op-X is really a good one, but sadly I really don't like the interface that much, too small buttons and all that.

Yeah the GUI could use some work, that's for sure. We also only have the 1.0 available, I don't think the 1.1 was cracked. Still for the money, it's a steal.

Hmz still using Zebra 2.5.2. which never failed. New updates (also tried the Diva and ACE) all went nuts with timebombs, serial errors etc. so for now I stick with an older Zebra release and don't bother the other ones anymore. If I really need them I buy them in a discount period (e.g. summersale, Black Friday you name it). Untill then, there are still enough toys around to play with. Thanks for the efforts though!

No because piracy will never be stopped, the smart ones realize this and adapt. I'm not saying it's an easy solution because though we can say fuck the RIAA and MPAA software developers (especially independent ones) are impacted by piracy, there's no getting around that. However it creates powerful competition in an arena where overcharging and hype are commonplace and that is good. For example the idea that you can't test a few hundred dollar Kontakt library is wrong. 30 days (for someone like me for example) isn't enough time to test a vst either, I can barely find a moment to break away for a snack. iLok is wrong too. If in actuality piracy could be stopped i don't think you would like the look of the world in this alternative reality. Not one bit. I think in order to reach any kind of middle ground developers have to be willing to come at this the way I just did but from the other side. I try to do what I can to remind people that if someone makes a plug-in or library that you really love then reward them with the support they deserve. I simply think that we need to strike a better balance between the end user and developer. However things like lawsuits, internet legislation, etc. not only don't work but they alienate the very customers that the products are intended for and usher in a world that I don't think any of us want to live in.

Developers: Find a way to add value to a product that can't be had with a free download. My advice to you.
