That's probably the issue. Plugins still not showing up. In Device ID I entered the 12 digit number that shows in Waves Central Licenses. In Device name, I put the name of my hard drive because that's what shows in Waves Central above the device ID. Is that wrong. If so, where do I find the device name? Thank you.

Thank you for your help! Really appreciate your extra assistance. Once I deleted all of my old Waves folders and started fresh, everything worked, including Cosmos. M1 Monterey

For anyone who is getting a failed installation when using the offline installer, I had the same and here's what I found it was... (FYI I'm on the last intel iMac running Monterey 12.6)

I found out that in my case it was CR8 that was causing the install to fail. All the other plugins I was installing worked fine. So I used a previous offline installer from a slightly older release (still v14 though) and that worked.

So I installed CR8 with a release from a few weeks ago and then the remaining plugins I installed from this offline installer that was included with the RET release.

In case this ends up being a problem for others also, give it a try.

And also I may as well confirm too that COSMOS etc is working.

And for anyone else who was confused by the step-by-step kindly provided by naviquest (which I followed), as far as I know there is no version 14 of the AU reg utility app. 12 is the latest version I could find and that worked perfectly fine for me. I think he just made a typo or something.

@naviquest, can you please confirm about the typo if you meant 12 or 14 regarding AU reg utility app? Do oblige. Thank you.

Thanks for the update, D4rkKn1ght.

thats wrong actually. i dont know why you dont have it but i got au reg utility 14 right now in my apps folder and used it to activate everything.

Ah ok. Well where does one get said app as even the most recent Waves bundle before this release comes with version 12.

Either way, version 12 worked to register the components anyway...

what version of COSMOS do you have installed? I'm on M1

Man I tried everything here on M1, still 0 plugins after the Au Reg Utility....

I withdraw my question about where to find version 14 of reg utility as I know now that it gets installed alongside the plugins in the wavesshell folder in Applications. All totally my ignorance. I always used the reg utility that came bundled in the release, not that got installed automatically in the above-mentioned folder.

Anyway, whichever you use, it seems to work.

For everyone who have problems remove all older waves files you have installed

1. Go to waves central and perform a complete waves cleanup (settings in WC)

2.delete all waves folders in following locations:

Library>Application Support>Waves(unhidden)
Library>Audio>Plugins>WPAPI(sometimes this thing is left after uninstall)
~Libarary>Application Support>Waves Audio and Waves Central(hidden)
Macintosh HD>Users>Shared>Waves

After that follow my previous steps and you will be fine

Cleaned everything, restarted did all install steps as described. Plugins are working. Cosmos does not work. Same error as incr3d1ble. Intel and Monterey 12.6

Edit: Honestly i guess this is somehow just the buggy cosmos app which doesnt work well maybe with migrated systems or some soft or hardware. It was very buggy from the beginning, see reddit articles. Hope they can fix it. I doubt here a crack problem or an issue i have in the process. So i leave it for now and will check a newer version of cosmos. The last version of cosmos is from May 2022.

Thanks all for the help and support. Thanks R2R for the update and funtime for deploying

Did you uninstall the previous version, clean up and install waves v14 or you directly installed over previously installed version of waves?

At this point I’m convinced this is a waves bug and I only tried on one MacBook so I’ll see how it goes with another Mac when I have a chance.

For everyone having troubles when running the Au Reg utility or when loading any Waves plug in in your daw...just be aware that u have to run the commands in terminal after you have generated a valid license with the keygen and placed it in the right folder...and not before otherwise it won't work

Is the consensus that we need to fully uninstall any previous version? Seeing mixed responses about this. Thanks!
