Hi everyone!
I uninstalled last version completely, followed instructions but when I try to install the plugins it says "Installation Failed - Please restart or contact support if repeats".
What am I missing? I remember the last version I installed I had to move the installation folder somewhere but there's no mention of that in this version...

Edit: SOLVED! Just let the Waves Central app update before anything and it's all good.

Everything works great on M1 Pro Monterey! Thanks to RET for the amazing work.
N.B remember to start logic with rosetta for de-bugging the plugins :)

This happens automatically when you open the waves central app, yes? It automatically starts updating itself right?
  Member 20.03.2022 15

I suggest you to take a look in the "get information" in the logic from the application folder and be sure that the box "open with rosetta" is checked.
N.B I had to re-scan all waves plugins to let that works

Running Natively on M1pro Monterey 12.5.1, all plugins works and fast loading, using AU Logic Pro x 10.7.4 , all waves standalone.app including cosmos run smooth (tested) THANK YOU for this gift...

I can confirm Waves Mercury Bundle for Logic on M1 Macbook with Monterey 12.5.1 - COMSOS not showing up anywhere but idc for it.

I followed the txt step by step, no rush (watching Avengers). It didn’t work at first, but I found the fix posted in comments (it involves using Terminal), restarted mac, THEN ran AU Reg and it worked.

Can someone help me? I've done all the steps; uninstalled Waves, deleted all files, installed via the RET download, did an offline install, replaced the files, inserted keygen license, did the terminal commands, let Waves AU Reg Utility run. BUT AU Reg didn't find any plugin. What am I doing wrong??

Try this:
-Make sure you input device name and ID properly. (Macintosh HD) most people
-Make sure you reboot before running AU reg Utility.

During the offline installation, the waves installer wants to access the system extensions file. If I choose to enable that, mac says,
"to enable system extensions, you need to modify your security settings in the recovery environment. To do this, shut down your system. Then press and hold the Touch ID or power button to launch Startup Security Utility. In Startup Security Utility, enable kernel extensions from the Security Policy button."

Is this normal? What should I do?

Lots of people saying it works, but WHAT works exactly? AU only?

Does anyone actually have VST's working on mac? (specifically, I'm on m1 / Monterey.)

Is there even a process to attempt to get it working for VST?

The issue im having is the finding the file locations to place the "WavesLicenseEngine.bundle" "index.js" and "app.asar". Ive followed naviquest instructions twice and both times the file locations don't exist (I even tried making folders to create the file locations to put the patches). When I try using the terminal it tells me that the location doesn't exist.. but they should exist after I've ran the installation of WavesCentral?

I haven't seen anyone else post this issue so maybe I am alone on this one. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Are you looking in the User Library folder or the Computer Library folder?

Big shout out to naviquest and beatmachine! The issue I was facing at first was I couldn't find the locations of the installed files. It seems it was because the version I first chose was not for apple silicon users. Once I found the version that didn't state anything against apple silicon on the cover page then the installation progressed and waves icons became added to my applications bar.

For some reason when I would search for the waves folder location id have to go back to "Macintosh HD" to the path, when id try short cutting from library I couldn't find the waves application support folder. Maybe it was just my brain frying Once I was able to find the folders the patching went smooth.

I used crossover to run the keygen and placed it in the license folder, I then ran the au reg which did locate the components but it wouldn't read any of the plugins, (if you can't find the au reg like I couldn't, go to your search bar and type it and it will automatically pop up

The last hurdle was figuring out why I couldn't locate any plugins, beatmachine was there for the save when I started combing the comment again. YOU HAVE TO PUT THE RIGHT NAME IN THE KEYGEN when generating the license. The right name is : "Macintosh HD" follow naviquest instructions to get the ID on the keygen.

After that, run the AU reg again! ... you will need to replace any messed up license that did not have Macintosh HD as the name. Hope this works for you, thanks everyone

For anyone that is still watching this thread. A couple of things that I noticed along the way...

1. The instructions from naviquest were incredibly helpful.

2. You have to install all of the plugins that you want in ONE SHOT. In other words, if you try to install a plugin after having gone through it the first time, none of the plugins will work anymore (at least that's what happens to me). If that happens to you, just go through the steps to "clean up" (in WC settings), then install all of the plugins that you want again, then go through the rest of the steps to patch.

3. Something called libinference_engine_onnx_reader.so was failing verification every time I opened Logic. I fixed this by clicking the "Allow Anyway" button in system prefs > security & privacy > general after getting the popup (you may have to do this a couple of times)

Your mileage may vary.

Thanks to everyone contributing here!

Tested and working Fine on macOS Ventura 13.0 native (MacBook M1 Pro ) . Just follow given steps and make sure u get rid of all the old waves before installation , also you need to code sign WavesLicenseEngine.bundle.
thanks RET.

What does it mean to code sign WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

Question:
1.Did you have to move WavesInstallerCen to a specific foler on your mac (i.e User/public)?
2.How did you pass the Waves Central problem where they say "Installation failed, please restart or contact support" ?
3. Did you use something in addition than what's inside the 9 links from RET?

Thanks a lot for your help
