Hey! Thank you for all this extra which I'm looking forward to getting working. However, the terminal command:

xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

produces this error:

xattr: No such file: /Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/Info.xml

I've tried Sudo before it but it seems this "info.xml file is missing for me. Any suggestions? (clean install of waves)

If someone could help? and many thanks for the above zzax!

Hello Big zzax, I have the same problem, as Sinc001 and three questions:

1:
can u help me pls?!

2:
why would he find the "WavesLicenseEngine.bundle“ in Contents/ when we put it in Contents/MacOS ? (step 4) (should I add /MacOS?)

3:
why would he tell me „info.xml“ is missing although I didn’t ask about it and I can see that it in fact, it is in Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/ ? :D

if I asked a dumb question im sorry, I’ve installed countless cracked plugins as a noob, but this time I need help. Thanks <3

sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

11. RESTART your mac FIRST and run waves au reg utility 14 and click let's go, it will identify your plugins.

12. Open your daw it will automatically scan plugins, if not rescan plugins manually.

Tested on several macs with macos monterey 12.5.1, Nuendo 12.0.40 and Logic pro 10.7.4 M1 NATIVE

does not work in Ventura which is what this release was claimed to do..

--> sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

for all the commands it states: No such file or directory

--> au reg utility 14 is a tampered version, when you down load from the website its called au reg utility not au reg utility 14....this au reg utility 14 can not scan any waves plugins..which in result either Logic Pro cant see them at all and if you happen to use a au reg utility laying around and scan the plugs it reports that the LICENSES ARE MISSING.

so I can confirm this is the December release, was the BBE plug out December cause if it was and its as in dece release its the same exact copy and same results in Ventura..if I am in correct it could be a WAVES login extension Ventura reported to of been installed in a previous version causing this but no one has actually proven to run waves in Ventura..

Ventura has a different system architecture, for example the system prefs looks identical to your iPhone and you can actually run iOS apps

Sorry, the point #4 was wrong
You should read ;

4. Replace "WavesLicenseEngine" in

/Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/

I can tell you that once the point #4 is corrected, everything works for me.

I'm running Ventura

Should the existing wave plugins be removed and this version be installed clean?

The included RET license is for January 2023 version, not Dec 2022.

why is it half as heavy as previous versions?

Be grateful it's at least half as heavy. You're downloading seven and a half gigabytes for a few files that equate to under ten megabytes. The way these Waves releases are packaged is a joke - even when it's an offical Scene release, such as this.

yes, obviously i'm so grateful for that,
but i'm curious about this too, hahah..

My assumption is that other P2P-based releases on this site, the ones which are in the 20+ GB range, include the sample libraries for Waves' piano and bass plugins, and perhaps impulse responses for IR1.

can someone confirm that the keygen has been updated for the new plugins / ventura?

I am running the previous RET release of v14 just fine, updated from monterey to ventura 13.1 on M1.

Works with M1 Ventura. Cosmos works, too.

Did anyone successfully install this over the previous working M1 Native release by RET?

Wondering if I need to remove the previous RET version to install this one? Or, if you can just install this over previous RET version.

Thanks y'all! Cheers

The commands in Waves Central make it pretty easy, and fairly fast, to uninstall and completely clean up all Waves-related files, to avoid any chance of conflict. That's what I did before installing (M1, Monterey) - it installed quite smoothly.
