Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5 Pro v5.0.2 UNLOCKED MAC OSX

presets seem to be in the lib/app/ni/guitar rig 5.... but doesn't seem to want to load them from the options menu in GR5.... which I suspect should be done in standalone which I can't use... anybody try this?

Is the folder hidden and read only to the system , look at the attributes?
If so unhide and change to read/write in permissions

in Lion the users//library is hidden by default :)

This worked for me

1) Go to HD/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Guitar Rig 5/Demo DB and copy those 3 files.
2) Go to HD/Users/Username/Library/Native Instruments/Guitar Rig 5/Database and overwrite the 3 files there with the ones you copied.

Hardlock,the presets are in the main system Library not the user, i think this is an issue w the guitar rig itself

unhides everything then one can find there way around in IOS :)

I don't think that solves the issue in 10.6.8.... the libraries aren't hidden... I've tried copying their permissions and properties and all data location... to match those in my Guitar Rig 4 and it's not acting the same way.

grateful for the release but non of the cracks work fully ie they either dont crack the app and it still says activate

or

it does say full version but still says demo when say in fm8 you try import fm7 patches

and none of them recall settings when reloaded ie battery will load up my kit but wont play any sound unless i reload it

massive doesnt recall settings either or load your sounds ect

also tried the possible fix as Tremors posted but still did not work

would be nice to see these working

I think its something to do with the file dblock in gr5

I'm also not getting the presets and stand-alone doesn't work either - running on 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

Tremors'thing work..my standalone open up now but there is non way to load or save presets...seems to be a crack problem...
we have few presets available (in the preset list), if you change the parameters of the components (of the available presets) and save your new preset is available in the preset list and will load back. if you add instead other components, like distortion, cab, delay etc and save the preset is not in the preset list. GR save correctly the presets (they are both in the presets folder) but it load only the presets which have the components you see in the presets available in the initial list..

no, the presets don't work in standalone or plug mode

So what does the batchmod thing do then?

shbamac's advice got most of the presets working, but i got an error message saying that some presets were still missing

so close yet so far . . . .

Here is the fix guys you won't have the new presets but at least you will have the vintage stuff working in your daw.

1. Make sure you have replaced the install with the (K) in the native instruments folder located in your Applications folder and there are no other copies floating around.

2. Activate the demo content in standalone.

3. replace the database files in library/Applications support/Native instruments/Guitar rig 5/Databass with the files from SHBAMAC'S tutorial HERE:

1) Go to HD/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Guitar Rig 5/Demo DB and copy those 3 files.
2) Go to HD/Users/Username/Library/Native Instruments/Guitar Rig 5/Database and overwrite the 3 files there with the ones you copied.

4. Close then reopen guitar rig 5 you should get a message indicating that there are twoe instances open and database preset changes can not be saved.

5. Make up a preset and save.

6. close guitar rig 5 and fire up your daw.

7. instantiate GR5 you should get the same message as aforementioned in step 4 make up a preset with one of the classic comps save then save your project then reopen your daw

8. Hey presto no more demo mode now to figure out how to get the new presets or just forget it and make up your own.

for me, with no guitar amping skills, presets is essential! Someone come up with a soluuution! :)

This is the worst job of a cracking series I have ever seen Team do. It's really bad. However, after uninstalling all hidden files and reinstalling and re-following the directions incl batchmod etc a few times, I was finally able to get the presets up and running in standalone and logic. Not sure what the real trick is. I did the same thing several times with different results each time. Finally it just took.

I'm now afraid to try these steps in the other Ni plugs because they are the same versions as existing, so it could mess up too much, but at least no Gtr Rig 5 seems to work although I haven't tried it for more than the 15 or 30 min the demo gives you.

nick1980's method does work. If like me you f**ed about with it... remove everything reinstall and follow instructions... also paste the line into terminal somebody else posted here and it'll work standalone

It's just real finicky on the steps. has anyone done this with absynth, Massive etc with good results?

Found a workaround from babba for the preset problem:

1. Go to HD/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Guitar Rig 5/Demo/Database and copy those 3 files.

2. Go to HD/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Guitar Rig 5/Database and delete (after backing up) those three files already there. Then paste the 3 files you copied earlier in the same folder as the ones you just deleted. Tip: If you can't find your Library folder in Lion, try holding down the option key while accessing the "Go" menu in Finder and you'll find it there.

3. Restart your GR5 plug & you'll have access to all of the presets. Voil!

Note: The plug still has problems saving presets though. But Logic will still save any changes made inside the GR5 plug along with your document.

For the non opening standalone problem you have to correct the permissions
This works with FM8 too"

I've tested it myself. Now, I wish they cracked Reaktor and Kontact so we can use the rest of the komplete pack.

Hey.... this upadte kills all my presets from the komplete 8 install... what do i do here! Im trying to find a way around this but if not... I cant use GR5

I have found that if the standalone does not work. download a program called PERMISSIONS RESET... it works like a charm then to open the standalone. however.... I have not tried with this version yet so I will report back to anyone about the fix that I can find. PM me if you need any info

BTW, people are going to have some problems with the standalone and the presets. Here's a complete 2-step fix. Works PERFECT on Logic 9! (Found this in another forum)

1)install GP5
2)open GP5 in Logic Pro9(anything you use)
3)quit Logic Pro
4)Replace file Guitar Rig 5.app to HD/Users/Username/Applications/Native/Instruments/Guitar/Rig 5/Guitar Rig 5.app
Copy file Guitar Rig 5.component to HD/Users/Username/Library/Audio/Plug-in/Component
Copy file Guitar Rig 5.dpm to HD/Users/Username/Library/Audio/Plug-in/Digidesign
Copy file Guitar Rig 5.vst to HD/Users/Username/Library/Audio/Plug-in/VST
*All 4file is in Native.Instruments.Guitar.Rig.5.Pro.v5.0.2.UNLOCKED.MAC.OSX-ASSiGN/ASSiGN

5)Open terminal and copy & paste this and press enter
chmod -R 777 /Applications/Native\ Instruments/Guitar\ Rig\ 5/Guitar\ Rig\ 5.app
*now you can use standalone but cant load preset.

6)Go to HD/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Guitar Rig 5/Demo/Database and copy 3 files(gr5db,gr5dbLock,User.kad).
7)Go to HD/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Guitar Rig 5/Database and overwrite the 3 files there with the ones you copied.
