One of the most interesting experiments I did (following my usual "use it for what's it's not meant to be used for" way of thinking) is using Guitar Rig not for processing guitars, but human voices. If you are open minded and ready for a "walk on the wild side", you may get awesome results, believe me...

the RTAS plugin freezes Pro Tools. VST and standalone though seem to work fine.

Is it me or these sims are getting bigger and bigger?

I still use to this day
Amplitube 1.3 ( 3 megs total installed)
Guitar Rig 2 (35 megs installed)

Now having some kickass fun with the VOX JamVOX sim!!!!

Still my all time favourite amp/effects sims even though like most of you I have access to all the new shiny stuff I still use and continue to use those 2 main amp sims

Thank you. Yes it is getting bigger, but it is still one of the best, no latency, guitar effect. And so flexible.

Rapidgator is giving me problems, like after some minutes, may be 10, it ask for a cpacha again and seems to reset it self, then the speed goes down to 5kb/s , any one else experimenting this?

Reflektor library (not included by now) can be replaced with Altiverb impulses one, asigning that file as Reflektor impulses file.

About what AudioTiger says, it s true, it can be used not only for Guitar, I use it for Solo Violin (between others), and one of nice things is to assign envelope or modulator to different controls like volumen or what plugin you want.

Clic module name to change to assign, mantaining clicked touch control you want to control, and it s done. Nice possibilities expander.

eh... yes it is.. Im using it right now. It is the predominant reason for the 500mb + filesize.

Also, as stated by NI themseleves....Guitar Rig is an all in one effects processing unit, not just for guitars. phones

Totally correct, Sir ! I suppose that nobody better than Team ASSiGN itself knows exactly what is included in their releases or not ! tongue

Where did you find it??? I couldn t find it in Program Files nor Common Files...

Don't even try to find it... it don't exist cause it's not installed by ASSiGN Installer for the evident reason that isn't included !

The only related Reflektor's stuff that is included - as you so well remarked it - is the folder 'Little Reflektor' (on PC : located at --> Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Guitar Rig 5\Content\...) that contents exactly 8 IRs :

* LongA.grir
* LongB.grir
* MediumA.grir
* MediumB.grir
* ShortA.grir
* ShortB.grir
* XXLA.grir
* XXLB.grir where .grir stands for Guitar Rig Impulse Response

So, don't trust any user that "blablabla..." you about Reflektor OK ! or that they can use it without problem,... for the simple reason - as it's so well stated - that it don't exist !!!
It could be that some use a previous version of Reflektor (Guitar Rig 4)... in this case that's different, but Full REFLEKTOR included in this ASSiGN Version... NO WAY !
This make me say that sometimes I wonder if some users actually install and really use the stuff they download before posting some comments ! rofl rofl rofl

Actually, having thought on it this afternoon, I had forgotten I had installed Komplete 8 when I recently formatted...my mistake, and I don't mind admitting that. no

So.. just roll on with Komplete 8, and your good, its only 72 Gigs.. but WELL worth it IMO.. and works flawlessly.

Also, You can download the library separately...if need be phones

Ok, take all with a little humor. I m using it with Altiverb IRs all right. And I prefer use Lite Reflektor with the basic IRs.

There are so much Reverbs to use, it s not dramatic. And I usually prefer Valhalla ones or QuikQuak Fusion Field.
