The problem is that you're attempting to fix something that has no solution and that is the human condition. There is no means for some of these people to help themselves. They're either going to remain this way forever or one day they will wake up and realize that they're gonna die some day and finally step outside of their comfort zone where all things become possible. Here we're caught in the in-between: those that have already realized that and those in the waiting line. I have provided a means for people to help themselves by encouraging them to be proactive, look things up, I and others have even put up resources on AudioZ and AudioSex to help make it easier for them to be self-sufficient. Then I've helped many come to the realization that engaging with the community has it's rewards. I even started open dialogues with people and tried to make them understand where we're coming from.

I actually came up with a plan to expedite matters and that began with making AudioZ private. I have been campaigning hardcore to this end because an open AudioZ is a complete and utter waste of the enormous potential of this site. I gave many solid arguments that were irrefutable focusing on all major areas of forum life from security to moderation and a ton of others. This made SAiNT open up to the idea because I think he's beginning to realize that open is not necessarily good no matter the best of intentions. It's ironic that keeping a community closed is actually favorable but it's true and the fact that all of our quality "competitors" are private says it all. Otherwise the noise is deafening and it's turning away a lot of people that we would want as part of the site. Since many teams and contributors are sick of it all they started sharing primo internals privately instead of sharing them on the site. There are literally so many that I don't even have the time to download or share everything. So if SAiNT doesn't decide to make it private a lot of people will cease their functions and give them something to really complain about. We have the means to create a new distro, the teams have the knowledge to create a new scene if necessary, one where there is a much more favorable SNR because P2P is not working. It is disheartening that the internet has devolved into the equivalent of YouTube comments and a true community is so often out of reach but what can be expected from the human race? Not fucking much.

Glad you have understood me correctly. Actually, was a little disappointed personally. Searched for some quick starting directions, not from administration, from another users. The sort you cannot get by google if don't know what to search for exactly, either on your own or by help. Ended up being viewed as lower sort/beggar or worse, potential competitor and getting the answers on my own with extra work three of four times. Default state of any community.

Yeah openssh didn't include many and it's usually a small group of people that ever help get anything solved so I can see why you'd be disappointed. Believe me, I get disappointed just clocking in first thing in the morning. Also my comment wasn't specifically directed at you, it was just a general statement about the majority of membership on the site so don't take it personally. A lot of us are just sick of it after years of the same ol' shit.

In general, interested about decrypting and converting different sample and IR libraries from proprietary formats (like WizooVerb, Nebula, Altiverb 6, BFD3, Superior Drummer 2.0). Already "opensourced" WizooVerb impulses. Did not released because no one expressed interest up to date and earlier post is still in queue.

That's up to SAiNT now. I made the last argument I'm making for it because I'm even tired of repeating it at this point. If not then he will face the fact that many contributors simply won't share. They write me all the time and It sucks having to listen to their very valid complaints and not be able to immediately provide a solution but I'm working on one whether this site goes private or not. HEXWARS and R2R already said that they're close to stopping releases.
