1: QUIT ALL APPLICATIONS AND BACKUP THE DYLIB.
2: Replace the dylib with appropriate one for your system.
3: IMMEDIATELY reboot Mac if you don't want it to freeze !

Open menu "Go" in Finder. Select "Go to folder". Paste full path:
/usr/lib/
Hit enter. That's the place where you need to replace dylib.

For those asking such 'dumb' questions... such as, how to install...

You probably should pass on trying to install these plugins that use openssh's crack as God help you when something get changed on your system and you have no clue how to fix it yourself....

Seriously!

I can hear it now..

"What is CCC or SuperDuper! ?"
"Clone Backups?? Huh??? "
"How do I restore the original dynlib????"
"What's Root access???"
"System Password? What's that??"

All leading to.... "My system is screwed up now.. Help!!!!!!"

Such users should spend a little time learning how to use OS X's file system and how to properly back everything up first rather than play with these plugins.... as it's only a matter of time until they will need to fix things once OS X updates something.....and they get royally screwed! :)

Mag66 You need to remember Mac foundation was to not allow the user access to the CLI or the ASPI you are very lucky to have openssh and copylefter
so be mindful and have compassion for these users that are not as well educated in these process's as they have most likely never encountered having to replace a library
and you to may have been in the same position as them at one time

How do it work for Yosemite 10.10.3? the cracked libs go up to 10.10.2, can I put a 10.10.2 lib on the 10.10.3 system?

Also, this is a system wide library, can we know what is patched exactly in it because it can affect every piece of software that uses the C++ std lib, which is almost all software.
This is why a little information about what the patch does would be great :)

the question is how can you be sure it won't affect other piece of software? as it's loaded for pretty much every executable, I'm sure you understand my concern vs. a local patch.

The first question is if you know if the 10.10.2 lib work on a 10.10.3 system? I'm not sure if there were any changes with the Yosemite update; because without that, the main question is irrelevant :D

As far as i can tell after testing this on my 10.10.3 rig, it works fine using the 10.10.2 patched dynlib...

However, as i have said in a different thread, any further updates from Apple could also update this lib breaking the crack.... or the cracked lib could produce unexpected behavior with other apps that use it....

It is what i would call.. a 'dangerous' crack in that sense and so should only be installed after the user has made a full clone backup of their system drive using something like CCC or SuperDuper!

For those not comfortable with how OS X 's file system works .... or how to fully back up their systems and restore in times of screw-ups.. don't install the cracked lib.

You can probably use DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES to inject this patched stdlib instead of installing systemwide.

Not going to detail that process here though.

I amb in BIG TROUBLE, I installed the plugins and then replaced de lylib files, bnut now my OSX wont start... It wont go further than the grey apple logo screen..

Any help would be appreciated!

FYI if you've happened to install the dylib file already from another pack, you can download these plugins from the Antares site under "Downloads->Discontinued Software".

I confirm the AAX 7.7.5 from that site works on PT10

Just like I don't see the point in your one-sided commentary. If copylefter brings word that the teams are pissed rather than make up stories as to his and their "egotistical" motivations in relaying that information you could consider that it's because he and others would like to help but they're being honest that things are getting out of hand and a choice is being given (when it easily could not be). Copy is one of the most humble people I know and your comment is most unwarranted. The irony is that you don't see that it's actually YOUR ego that caused you to make it in the first place. He on the other hand is just being straight up. Switch places with him for a while and see how it feels after some time. It's easy to act like he doesn't have a completely valid reason to be saying it but he certainly does.

No, I think you didn't get me quite well... I am saying that not you, nor Copy nor all the teams together can CHANGE the humankind. If you (or anyone else) think the people will change because you "gave them a choice" is just egoistic thought that you could change the world. They will continue being just the same as they were when you started reverse engineering the software. I have told you this once under another nick (you may not remember) - if you (or whatever group there is) are not doing it out of fun, or pursuing some higher goal, you better stop right now, because doing it just to "help the poor guys with no money" is false excuse and it's going to wear off pretty quick. Doing it for others and not getting enough feedback is really pissing up the wind. So either do it, or don't . But don't disrespect ALL THE PEOPLE who get your releases, because - again - you can change how the whole world behaves. And - again - if you don't crack it, someone else will emerge out from the crowd and be in your place. That's how the world works. That's all I am saying, there is no egoism at all, just an attempt to make you look the whole picture. Because I see your rage posts too often here, and once, you've even boycott the forum...

One more thing is - I have noticed that every group - like AiR or H2O, once they reach their climax, or reach their goal, slowly fades away. R2R was my favorite, since Assign and even before that (forgot how they were called back then), but now, they will fade too - because I think they are at their best right now. There's only downwards from here, so - don't blame us - the audience - it's just how the universe works.

Well it's not my nature so I guess then i must not be human. The sad thing is that you don't realize that the audiowarez scene is slowly dying. It's been happening for quite some time now and despite your claims that someone would replace R2R as of yet it hasn't happened and it's been many many years. They didn't have even another team to compete with for a long time. Also for example while openssh came up with that brilliant crack, it was actually copy that was giving support for it and testing it against various targets and then rushing to upload and prep the post. I can tell you one thing for sure: it's gonna be a looooooonnnngggg fucking time before you get another copy. So my point is that you should treat this one right.

Also you're acting like we have some reason to be threatened that more teams come around. I help manage a site and it's actually in my best interest that there be more teams and more releases. However other people can do whatever they want, we make our own choices. If other contributors want to deal with that then that's their prerogative. We're not trying to change humankind. We're trying to run a damn site and that's hard to do when people just do whatever they feel like or don't read an answer right in front of their face and fill up the forums with a million copies of the same question that had been answered a trillion times before. Yeah that's right we're pissed, deal with it. Wouldn't have to bitch if people followed rules and used their brain once in a while. I'm not coming to your site and telling you how to run it right or how you should feel about your job there. If people won't change then they'll lose out in the end. Their job is to give you the choice, what you want to do with it is your business.

You know, English is not my native, so I may express wrongly for some things. First of all, thanks for clarifying it for me, you are more in the scene than I am, that's for sure. Secondly, all I want to say - is - don't trash the community as a whole, community is - what it is. Some of them are plain too damn stupid to deal with the computer, they don't have the slightest idea about "scene", groups or anything... More and more of such kids are coming up ahead, and that's sad but it's inevitable. That's why I said - leave them be. If you don't code for fun, don't code at all, because THEY do not deserve it or THEY will never appreciate the effort and you will get frustrated. IF you find a satisfaction in coding (by YOU, I mean the scene as a whole) then it's a valid reason to do so... If you expect that everyone will become aware of the scene and all the sudden, get computer - literate, I say - you expect too much - call that an egoism if you will - thinking that you can change what's coming up ahead. And it's coming, that's what we both agree upon.

They are there in the community. Illiterate, dumb and unthankful people, taking computers and software for granted. But THEY are more and more... Soon all of WE will become THEM, bcs WE are growing too old...

I really don't want to piss you off, on the contrary, I am trying to calm you down, making you see the things from another perspective, but it seems I fail :D Maybe it's the language, poor choice of words, or the space I have here, the topic is really big and we could talk about it for days... first I wanna thx for taking time working to make this happen!
but for me it doesn't work. autotune crashes from time to time.

any idea what I can do to fix it? I already deleted all caches & started disk utility.

I did everything mentioned. Not a noob. The other releases are working fine. But when booting pro tools, it is asking for a license or to start trail for all the antares stuff thats been released. Only antares. Everything else works beautifully. Im on 10.8.5 with pro tools 9.0.6
