MASSIVE is a sonic monster – the ultimate synth for basses and leads. The analog concept belies the contemporary, cutting-edge sound it generates. The high-end engine delivers pure quality, lending an undeniable virtue and character to even the most saturated of sounds. The interface is clearly laid out and easy to use, ensuring you will have MASSIVE generating earth-shuddering sounds from the very first note.

UNCOMPROMISING SOUND

This unique synthesizer has its own uncompromising character that produces the most distinctive of sounds. From the deepest low end, MASSIVE is capable of the creamiest, punchiest basses to give your tracks a solid foundation. Razor-sharp leads that cut through the mix, even with grit and dirt piled high, set MASSIVE apart among analog style soft synths. And just beneath the surface, MASSIVE’s overwhelming array of wavetable oscillators, versatile modulation options and bountiful filter and effects sections offer a sonic spectrum as broad as it is inspiring.

GOOD TO GO

On top of its 600 production-ready factory presets and multi-sounds, MASSIVE now contains the full libraries from former products 'Massive Expansion' 1 and 2, 'Urban Arsenal' 1 and 2, and 'Massive Threat', giving you a total of over 1300 sounds, all crafted by leading artists and sound designers.

Finding the right sound is easy. The efficient search and intuitive filter functions let you find presets according to specific characteristics and attributes - a particularly musical and intuitive approach.

CENTER STAGE

On stage, MASSIVE is sure to grab the limelight. An array of special features makes it ideal for live performances. The integrated step sequencers and effects section as well as a highly flexible modulation concept deliver the necessary versatility. All these features have been implemented with a focus on usability, with the result that MASSIVE is just as easy to use on a hectic stage as it is in the creative environment of a studio.

What's new:
- Advanced integration in MASCHINE 2.0 host software
- Support for AAX2 - Avid's 64-bit plug-in target for Pro Tools 11

Fixes:
- Automation data conversion from RTAS to AAX
- Changing presets via MIDI Program Change in Cubase causes CPU spikes
- LFO becomes synchronised for Unison notes even if LFO Mono is disabled
- Polyphone sound loads monophonic
- Browser response laggy
- Misc. minor fixes

INSTRUCTIONS

1.Install Massive_140_Mac.dmg
2.Copy all [k’] files to default Dir.
3.Dellete "/Library/Preferences/com.native-instruments.Massive.plist " (for save and save as options)

Has anyone had this issue? using the new version you cant save any presets if you make tweaks? I just used 1.4.0 and tried to save a preset tweak and it was greyed out. any one know why?

Please use the reply button when replying so we can keep comments organized and easy to follow. Perhaps the installer is meant to be an update and msj forgot to add information to the config files (registry equivalent) so that it would think a previous version was installed. Either way thanks for the effort, I'm not a Mac guy but I can appreciate how happy this would make everyone. Respect msj.

Same here : "Failure" no previous installation found. Please run the full product installer before running this update installer.

Weird because I do have 1.3 installed. I have used Batchmod with same result. Ideas anyone?

You have to use AppCleaner in order to delete previous version. And after start dmg copy real Massive installer at your HDD. Than start it.

Yeah bummer, just ran through a bunch of different sequences, none working. I feel like a piece of the architype is missing?

You have to trash the massive plist. And then it will save. I remember I had to do that.

Trashing the Massive plist did nothing for me.

SOLUTION (Installation Failure)

*FIX*

When I tried to install it from the DMG, it returned the same failure everyone else is reporting: "The Installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install"

All you need to do is ignore that DMG, you don't need it. Just copy the application to your app's folder and the AU/VST/ECT to your audio plugin library from the [k]'d folder.

I am running 10.9.2

Does anyone else have an issue when you record a certain sound and save the session, then open the session again and it defaults back to the generic massive start up sound? I can't seem to get it to save with the sound i play it always defaults back to the start up sound.

I am running pro tools 10
OSX 10.9.2

I am having the same issue, making this plug in basically worthless for what I have to do.
Can anyone help? I haven't read any replies except to delete the Massive.plist files, which didn't solve the problem.

in Logic Pro X 10.0.6 you cannot save anything, closing the session and open it again
reset to default even deleting the .plist
