ok so far current problems with this installation:

1. Cannot open stand alone (so cannot convert KSD files to new files. Can't open in Logic or Ableton and convert files. Seems to be something that can only be done with stand alone.)

2. Does not save when closing a file in Ableton/Logic. Only will save an init patch (this is going to be annoying to do)...

Ok i have found a workaround ( but not sure that works for all ).for these errors on Massive 1.3.0: ( Lion 10.7.3 ).

"ACCESS DENIED OPEN SERVICE CENTER FROM LOCAL DRIVE".

I'm using Ableton and it won't load presets for new projects, however, luckily it will load up the presets in projects that I made before this version.

It's something wrong with this. It doesn't save my presets I make when im qutting and saving my Logicproject and opening it up again.. dunno

Ok guys My workaround for activate, save the presets and open the Standalone version of massive 1.3.0 released from assign.. WORKS perfectly under :

Protools 9/10/HDX

Live 8.2.7/8.2.8

Logic PRO 32 64 9.1.6

Cubase 6 / nuendo 6

Studio ONE 2.x

System:

OSX 10.6.1.2.5.6.8
OSX 10.7.1.2.3.



first:

install "Little Snitch Firewall" when little snitch tell you that a connection with "native.instruments.service center" is pending... "Deny FOREVER"... and apply..

Second:

Install the package provided by Assign and overwrite the vst , the component and the rtas plugin and the standalone version provided by assign in the respective location/paths


Third:

Download a little tool "BATCHMOD"

place this tool on your Application folder or where you want..

Open it and Drag&Drop ( or browse to ) a "massive.app" from massive folder and make sure that the setting is the same in the image provided by me:

Yes.. but for a file system permission issues the standalone don't work "before my workaround" and don't save the plugin patches.

Now all works perfectly with the correct file system permission.

TREMORS: hey man. so i followed all your instructions and seems to work fine. I tried opening massive in logic studio and ableton and it still does not save the settings when i quit and reopen a project.

Also the 'save' and 'save as' functions don't work in Stand Alone, Logic or Ableton...

Can you get this to work on your system?

that would not save the preset and then team dynamics put out there version and it worked fine

can someone please explain how they reg/cracked this

after the install i replaced the app file to the ni apps folder.

the .dpm went in /Library/Application Support/Digidesgin/Plugins

the .component went in /Library/Audio/Components

and the vst went in /Library/Audio/VST

but now it doesnt open. Please help

In this case try to fix the permission on the component plugin "vst , rtas or component au".

Delete littlesnitch.app from your application folder .. i don't remember if little snitch have an automatic uninstall script .

From system to system expecially in unix environment the file system permission are "essential"

Without a correct permission several feature like "save a preset don't work" why the software itself don't have "access" to write to the disc "in other word to the file system"

In most cases the plugin itself don't have a programmed section to tell you that is "impossible to write to the disc" and you think that all works but it's not true.

The plugin , the applications in general the software normally have a automatic installation procedure why set this permission according to your system user .

In windows this permission for normal application "desktop computing/application" don't exist.

Not to mention that the permission in UNIX/LINUX system are "attached to the files itself" this is the reason behind the permission issues problem...

your mac .. your OS is not the same that use an ASSIGN member :)..

In UNIX/LINUX this is NORMAL... and OSX is a "UNIX/LINUX" based OS.

It's true, Team Dynamics releases were very seldom faulty.
We should be more patient with those guys from ASSiGN - they're not used to it to crack Mac software, they may not know the architecture of Mac. And furthermore today all the new Mac operation systems are causing much confusion. Thanks anyway for your efforts!
