Massive X is Native Instruments’ new flagship synth, built by the same team as its predecessor. MASSIVE X is only available as AAX, AU, VST Plug-ins in this version. MASSIVE X requires an AVX compatible CPU to install and run. The MASSIVE X Factory Library is a separate installation, be sure to install via NATIVE ACCESS.
ADDED A scrollbar is now visible to the right when scrolling through menu categories if they exceed the menu size
ADDED A scrollbar is now available for scrolling through the content result list in context menus
IMPROVED Parameter Readouts: Anima Rate, Flanger Time, SVF Parallel/Serial Bandwidth, Chorus/Phaser/Flanger Rate, WT OSC Standard mode Phase control, Chorus Time L1/2 R1/2 in manual mode, Comb AP Freq/LP Freq in Fix Mode
IMPROVED Smoother-looking modulation rings for big parameter knobs
CHANGED User presets are now saved in a dedicated 'Presets' subfolder in the user content directory
FIXED Dropping a preset onto the Massive X GUI loads the preset only in this instance
FIXED Various issues with text input fields
FIXED The Start/Phase knob on the Noise Player keeps correct values when the mode is changed while a macro is assigned to it
FIXED VST Massive X GUI is displayed correctly in Maschine Plug-in Strip in Mix View when Maschine is hosted
FIXED Menus with icons open when the icon is clicked
FIXED Readouts for Stereo Delay's Time parameter are displayed correctly
KNOWN ISSUE FL Studio 20.5 VST: when loading a preset the interface will shrink. Fix: update to FL Studio 20.6 or higher

Haven't made the jump yet because the first Massive still does what it needs to do and I've read a lot of complaints earlier about X, but what experience do other users have with X so far? Is it worth the try after all?
I'm an orange critter from Arcade with a large nose (but I don't lie!).

You should have both, this is the sequel, not meant to be a replacement for the original. I even open both at same time and layer some of the sounds.
There are sounds that come out of this that I have not heard from anything else.
I am on Win version, works perfect and has been refined nicely since first released.
Only about 1gb of space required. Some say released before it was ready but this version addresses many of the earlier criticisms.

Hey guys sorry for the offtopic, I'd like to make a request for Komplete 2.4.0 and Maschine 2.11 but I get a message "you're not allowed to make a request" and I can't find in the FAQ the reason. Any idea why ? thx

Problem: the process takes less than 1 second to complete to what you see on the screenshot. Something's wrong then.

Exactly the same here. It's the midi input that does it. The same happened with 1.3.0, despite codesign etc.

Same unfortunately, though version 1.2.1 was fine. As soon as I play whatever the selected patch is, it crashes, whatever DAW, be it AU/VST, Mac OS Catalina.

On HighSierra everithing is ok.
I compared 1.3.1 vs. 1.3.0 vs. 1.2.1 into Ableton Live 10.1.3.
With the same preset:
1.2.1 - play sound CPU 13,5 %
No play sound CPU 8 %
1.3.0 - play sound CPU 15,5 %
No play sound CPU 7,5 %
1.3.1 - play sound CPU 16,5 %
No play sound CPU 6 %

As you can see, the values are inversely proportional. Surely 1.3.1 has lightened on system resources (CPU-GPU) when it rests, but when it's working it asks for 3 more percentage points .
If in the next update NI would work to go back at least 2 points, it would be perfect.

Regarding the crashes.
1. Open text editor and paste the text at the bottom
2. Name the document "Massive X.xml"
3. Put in your Service Center folder
