For mac users who want to mix with windows plugins without latency with multitracks
This is just the legit version but it was pretty hard to find on the web .... and useless before the release of the team CE-VR.
Tested on Virtual machine (VMWare) Win7-64 and Logic-X
All utopia's plugs working and most of win plugs....
To get it work
1 Download the Mac release and install
2 You have to run a 64 bit windows on a real or Virtual machine
3 Download and install the VSL Vienna Suite v1.1 RTAS VST CE-V.R

i've made an error in my instructions :

and not the vienna suite....

Had it in my downloads.
I believed it was the mac version unlocked but it is not.
Too bad...but useful for those who don't have it already.

The mac plug-ins don't need a serial to run only the server apps.

Why Vienna Suite ? It is a pack of effect plugins.
Did you not want to say VSL.Vienna.Ensemble.Pro.v5.4.14074.CE instead ?

i've red some who are disappointed .... but i wondering something ,
the goal of this release was to run win plugs to rewire them in a Mac DAW ...
So what is the point to have the Mac-server version ? ; To run Mac plugs in a Win-DAW ????
for what ?????? all mac plugs are already avalaible for windows ....
so tell me if i'm wrong....

If you do not want to be interrupted when use Vienna mac and pc, you must fix latency 1024 or 2048, because, If you choose latency from 256 or less, sometimes gives audio drop . therefore my advice is If you use this system, Keep latency high. 1024 or up.

Time warp to the future it's 2024 and this release is just as relevant to me on my MacBook Pro Silicon M2 2023 model , what's to get excited about ?
I'm running Sonoma and for the past many years I've been enjoying an environment such as using a Mac DAW and running a VEP instance on a Windows machine using VEP 6 , the CE version we all love , however , it doesn't work as well as VEP 5 does in that you can't really save on the Windows VEP Server 64 bit side , usually crashes etc .

However this VEP 5 version works perfectly , of course what is really working is the client Mac plugin that interfaces with the Windows VEP 5 CE version v5.4.14074 CE ,

The rest of the Mac install with this particular release the Server and App those are not solved , what you need from this release is just the client plugin that is hosted in your DAW of choice , the vst or AU plugin , that doesn't required a license , the server is what requires the license and on the Windows release of 5.4.14074 CE that licenser is cracked , if you watch the installation progress you can see. "now installing the FAKE e licenser license " so disregard the program here , the app , of course it's installed but as this is just the regular VEP release what is of value here is the client vst or audio unit , they both work and importantly are the same release version , so this is just half of the puzzle , the Mac side , the Windows part is referenced here in a thread above .

So for me the reason I had to downgrade from 6 to 5 was that once I installed Sonoma on my MacBook the client AU plugin GUI was just white , no detail visible , tried to reinstall but no luck , then I downgraded to VEP5 and this issue went away , the GUI was there and I actually think VEP5 is better for my use case , I do miss tabbed instances but other than that it just works better than the CE VEP6 version , so for now , I can go on , save my pennies until I have about $400 to buy this software , one day though, for sure gotta buy it ...
