I am having trouble getting backbone to show up in the plugin-slot again on Logic Pro 10.5.1.

It is still visible in the plugin manager and validation is working fine, so the phenomenon of it not showing up in the plugin-slot is very rare.

I used to have a solution to uninstall the waves plugin v11? or earlier, which would allow Backbone to show up on Logic.
Perhaps such a solution exists this time as well.

Thanx, but doesn´t work in logic 10.7.2, big sur...as i wanted going back to version 1.1 it is now also NOT working...any help, please

Sorry for the late one, but you need to restore the sound content. In particular the FCP_SMT_800_Backbone_MP.vstsound from the original 1.0 installer, to load the content correctly.

FYI like stated in the instructions, disabling SIP is a hard requirement otherwise the plugin will crash DAW.

Guys the R2Rs PC version doesnt show up on vst3 Ableton 11 at least in my case . All other Steinberg products work well . Do you have any problem on this VR version regarding Ableton 11 . I know its a MAC version but im curious .

After following all instructions, I'm unable to get Backbone to load properly in Ableton Live 11.2.6 on macOS 12.6.1. Does anyone by chance know how to fix this? Has anyone been able to get Backbone 1.5 to load at all?
