You can update your old ezx by installing EZD2 after you've installed the ezx.
If you're able to correct me, then you understood me fine in the first place. prick.

This lib IS the EZX update.
If the update wasn't pointed to the old folder, and you did what you'd said, you'd once again be lacking this update.
The update must go to the original Numder 1 Hits folder, and then this strange "installing EZD2 after" is not needed, surely ?
I'm confused ! hehe
The Clavichord is from the Late Middle Ages. It's not a Clavinet.

If you don't have the graphics folder installing EZD2 after the ezx has been installed, will add the graphics folder.

I think you simply need to update your version of EZD, whatever version 2 or 3 you have.
I have misunderstanding of your comment, although there is misunderstanding in it :

Not true.
And 64 bit OS is both Intel and M1 anyway !
Monterey excluded NVidia GPU machines from 2016 but would still run on Intel machines...
So you say you have 2 machines, both on Monterey, and one is an Intel machine and one is the new M1 machine ?
But, from the website :
macOS 10.10 or higher, Intel or Apple Silicon processor

Installer is only 32 bit. Installer doesn't work on 64 bit OS like Monterey.

Just copy the "EZX_No1_Hits" folder from the 1.2.0 installer to your EZdrummer libraries folder and then copy the contents of the "Contents" folder from the 1.5.1 update to your EZdrummer libraries folder, overwriting all. Lastly, copy the "16@EZX_NUMBER_1_HITS" folder from the 1.5.0 Midi update to your EZdrummer/MIDI folder.

Any of these libraries for Windows can be opened manually.
You don't need the mac installer.
All you need to do then is place them into the corresponding folders on your mac
Drop EZX Number 1 Hits folder to:
HD/Library/Application Support/EZ Drummer/EZX Number 1 Hits
Drop Midi Folder here:
HD/Library/Application Support/EZ Drummer/Midi
Latest EZ Drummer and Superior Drummer will both play this library

Actually I just came back to say that the above method doesn't work with this particular download. Not on my MBP anyway.
There is a working version elsewhere on this site but you need to download the one for PC as the mac link doesn't work.
