Air Shelf is a dynamic EQ plugin designed to shape your (very) high end, mostly above 10kHz. Use the Boost knob to get more highs, and the Tame knob to keep high frequency transients under control.

Features:

Boost : A 1st order high shelf centred at 20kHz, fully decramped up to 21kHz, with a very smooth and gradual response.

Tame : A mix between a very fast dynamic EQ and a transient shaper. It means that it is not dependent on the input signal level and only affects (very) high frequency spikes.

Zero-latency.



M1 Mac users : Note that I don't have an M1 myself yet. Until then, if bugs are found, it may take more time to fix them.

I never have any problem getting plenty of bottom end mud out of anything.
You can throw an 808 behind anything and you've got a crisp bottom.

But good highs, without burning them,
is a harder trick.

It is! It's a very good plug-in for taming and boosting sizzling highs.

The boost control is very much like the 40kHz "Air band" on a Mäag EQ. The Tame control is a bit like other dynamic resonance suppression plug-ins (soothe, DSEQ, Smooth Operator), but you don't get any control over what frequencies it is focusing on.

Bertom makes some quite advanced plug-ins considering they are freeware/donationware.
