I always use to give R2R releases my choice - with the exception of Kontakt, as R2R´s version can not install custom libraries (ones that don´t have an official SNIPD, but a self made NICNT + wallpaper), as far as I know. I had been waiting years for R2R to do Kontakt again, but unfortunately for that reason it turned out to be a rare case of priorizing another release over it... if you´d call this "outcracked", depends a lot on your point of view I guess. For me it is for the additional functionality of the "other" version, but R2R´s version might, as usual, be more "clean" and free from changes of the functional code etc...

I just delete omni exe in the spectrasonics folder in programdata. the .DAT files if they are there and all of the omni dll and .vst3 files on your system. Then install and it has worked for me.

c'mon. use your head. the full installation is over 60gb. there's no way to compress that down to less than one gb.

The question was asked but i will ask again.
Does this fix something that the R2R v2.8.1c release did not fix?

Also, this says "FULL" but there is no indication of what version(s) of soundsource or patch updates are included, if any.

I am glad to see there is SOME information provided, but am perplexed that vkdanilov does not say more about why this is better than the R2R or why it should be used.

I assume one reason may be for those who like the "FULL" aspect, which IS nice, but with no information this will sit in the corner of my Spectrasonics folder and not be touched.

This is an alternative to R2R's release. It doesn't fix anything that R2R didn't, it's just different.

R2R's version needs to be activated using their keygen and their latest release also should fix the timebombing stuff.

This full patch works as it gets installed. No need for a keygen and the timebomb is fixed as well. It's kinda like VR releases - just install and use.

So it's your decision, both releases work like a charm

Sorry but i have to contradict that. check the post of R2R version and you will see a number of people complain that R2R did not fix the timebomb at all. Me included. VKDanilovz Omnisphere is the first version for me and all the others who are cursed by spectrasonics to get rid of the Problem with Omni loosing patches and other funny behaviour once and for all.

it doesn't "empty preset timebomb" which is is caused after ~30mins or even random on song saves.

Thank you! This is the only version that doesnt make omni loose patches and multis since a long time for me. i just hope it loads faster and acts snappier with multi versions in one project. that was my only problem with the version before. As it was kinda sluggish compared to R2Rs version. But R2Rs version still had the loosing problems aka timebomb in it..

What actions does the R2R version take off? I want to check, in my case (with all current updates) it works perfectly.
I just drink and listen to music.

I tested the respective versions on two PCs (win7 and win10) and in neither case did I encounter problems with configuration loss, patches, blocking .. it's up to you to choose

Ok i used my little Omnisphere test project for like 2 hours.

used 5x omnisphere with different presets saved and left it for like 40 mins then closed the project.

reloaded the project and everything was there, even the different GUI sizes i extra set.

did the same again for one good hour and everything was as it should be.

the presets where still there with all settings after a few saves and reloads.

good luck to us all that this version might be final for a while.

p.s this version is extremely sluggish, GUI opens slow, and cant create zmaps but it works.

R2R´s version wasnt sluggish but didnt save presets with timebomb.
