Peakbuster is an attack-phase boosting and harmonic enhancement AU, AAX, and VST plugin for professional music and sound production applications. Peakbuster is a multi-band transient enhancer effect plug-in that uses an advanced automatic algorithm. Peakbuster stands out from the competition in its ability to always sound natural, even on a full-spectrum master bus. The strength of the effect depends on the material being processed: the algorithm masterfully analyses dynamics of the sound it processes, and applies boosting in quantities that are β€œexactly right”. Moreover, the algorithm has a suitably β€œfast” reaction time making its adjustments sound β€œfluid”, not β€œover the place”.

The amount of effect can be chosen independently for the lower and higher frequency ranges: this permits use of Peakbuster on a variety of program material, both full mixes and individual tracks.

Additionally, due to the nature of the algorithm’s design, Peakbuster applies a unique harmonic coloration or enhancement: so, even if the gain adjustment meter shows only a minimal transient boosting amount at a given time, the plug-in still transforms the sound being processed in a way that to some engineers may sound β€œon a completely another level”; we at Voxengo would call it β€œbeyond tube warmness”.

Thanks a ton FLARE but I'm getting the same error as when I tried to install the Voxengo Bundle Logic Pro v10.4.8 crashes and doesn't validate the plugin. The "postinstall.sh" script has a syntax error near lines 3 4 19 and it says command not found. Please do suggest a fix. Thanks a lot.

Thanks dude, I still can't get it to work in pro tools this and the previously shared plugins, when executing the code in the terminal I get this message (/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Peakbuster.aaxplugin: invalid signature (code or signature have been modified)
In architecture: x86_64)
Do you know if this has any solution?

At the first glance I find saturation not only hardwired, but also set too high (in bass range at about -15dB on default setting) with a fixed curve and odd harmonics only (practically).
As far as I could see the level of saturation effect depends on FX settings only. Distortion levels are high, and my impression is that the sound rendered is a bit dull. On 'Fine Highs' setting I did not get enough clarity, and believe I was better off without it.

I was also wondering why there is no saturation control. It really is a bit too much as it is right now! With just one of the FX knobs set to 10 there is already a lot of saturation.

Low Wave Studios SpikeQ can produce similar sound/effects without all the extra saturation. It will however make your transients a lot louder in comparison to peakbuster and you have 4 bands instead of up to 30.

Even though i pointed where my Vst2 folder is located when i got the question in the installer the installer installed the Vst 2 version in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Vst 2
So why even have those options when apperently it doesnt work.
A dude with less computer knowledge might think the Vst 2 version was missing.

The installer is still a WIP, thanks for reporting it though, will remove it in the upcoming releases and have it set as the standard locations.

The default setting in the installer was set at what was suppose to be the standard location in the registry on my pc (C:\Program Files\Vst Plugins) (Win 7 Pro)
But i have my Vst2 plugins on another harddrive so when i browse and pointed at that folder the installer choosed to install the Vst 2 version in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Vst 2 instead.
I havent changed the location in the registry due to i dont want my Daw and my Audio Editor to scan every plugin on every startup instead i can point to which Vst 2 plugins i want it to scan.

Hi bros,

I have the legitimate version of Pro Tools (Version 2018 12.0), and I wondered if it was normal that AAX plugs are not working. Pro Tools automatically moves them to the 'Unused' folder since for him, they are not valid 64-bit plugs!

PS: My operating system is Mojave (Mac).

Yes, it's normal. Legit Protools do not accept modified AAX.
Only cracked Protools does.

I'm having some issues installing this on Mac.

With manual install: I drag the patched files to the correct locations, the first terminal command seems to work.
But sudo codesign --deep --verify "$file" is not working and gives the following error:

invalid signature (code or signature have been modified)
In architecture: x86_64

With automatic install: After typing bash I drag the file in - It either doesn't do anything, or says No such file or directory.

Any help would be appreciated.
