I am on Big Sur 11.3.1, followed instructions except moved Waves Central to HD/Users/User/Public, as suggested on here, this created an alias in that location. I can see everything at HD/Apps/Waves. Ran the License Engine ok, then AU Reg, that seemed to work fine, rebooted, opened Logic 10.5 nadda. Had to keep changing permissions to Waves, still nadda. I am sure the problem is the WavesLicense Engine included in this release. Logic keeps scanning the AUs in an attempt to install but throws up messages like "MkIWaves.framework cannot be verified". I just rebooted Logic and it is scanning the AUs to verify them, have to go to System Prefs/Security every time I get the pop up message and allow mac OS to open the App from the unidentified developer. I know there is a command line in Terminal you can use to turn off Gatekeeper but my default interactive shell in terminal is now zsh and I tried to get it back to bash but doesn't want to do that! If I get it working I will get back to you.

Just got it working on Big Sur. It tool a it of faffing about. ```````````````````i tried three times before it worked. Fist time I used the offline installer, selected the units I wanted, they loaded in, ran the patch then restarted and ran the AUReg tool but it didn't show in Logic. Tried again, this time I ran the Installer again and followed same orcedure, rebooted, nadda in LOgic. Third time, used offline installer again, then the AU Reg. Opened LOgic, the LOgic AU installer started scanning, I got maybe ten different messages saying Mac OS didn't trust this developer and gave me the chioce of Move to Bin or Cancel. I didn;t choose either of those, instead opened System preferences/Security. Clicked the padlock to change permissions and the AU authorisation of various AUs needed permission for MAC OS to open them, "Allow apps downloaded from:> change permission to App Store and identified developers. That did the track, a bit tedious but the problem was with permissions from Mac OS. Hope that helps.

Adding this info that I saw in another thread, to see if someone can confirm that this is the way to have it working in Catalina:

- Went offline.
- opened Waves Central (Waves 12 v2020.10.29, already installed on my Mac)
- uninstall from Waves Central
- remove anything from Waves from my Mac. There still was a bunch files in both Libraries (generic and user's one). You can find them in Library/Application Support/Waves, Library/Audio/Presets/Waves in Library/Preferences etc.)
- Reboot
- Install new Waves Central (I downloaded the release using uploaded links and unpacking with KeKa without issues).
- Run it
- Select the plugins I wanted one by one. I usually don't install Mercury or big bundles because there's too much stuff I don't use. Of course I installed all the Signature Series or Abbey Road Collection...)
- After installing I rebooted
- Run WavesLicenseEngine
- Tried to open Waves Au Reg Utility but it gave me an error
- Opened Logic. All the plugins were there. It scanned them the first time and then no more.
- Went online again

For what its worth I never update my “Waves Central” I just disconnect from the internet
Click use off-line install then direct it to the “install.cen” in the new download and install from there.
I have never had a problem. Mojave - Logic Pro X

Its an old AU reg from previous versions which other members told me. Hope it works for you. I used Hexwars keygen without the old AU reg key and I did not have any problems (Mojave and Catalina).

Everything working here on Mojave.

@phenomboy They should appear under Waveshell1 and 2 in the Vst2 folder instead of Waves.

This release solved the Au working again. Thanks you for sorting this out
