Instructions
1. Go to waves folder and Install Waves Central and Run
2. Select Offline Installer and Click Install from an Offline Installer
3. Browse the Waves folder you downloaded (For Mac Users, move folder to "Users/yourname/public/")
4. Select the plugins you like and Install!
5. Apply patch and Enjoy

Does anyone know if there's a way to install this on a different drive other than C? I've only ever used the R2R version and that allows you to install the 5-7GB of files on a different drive other than C, am I correct in thinking this isn't possible with any version other than the R2R version?

I lack the intelligence to use symlinks so I don't want to do that.

re: symlink ...is it that you're feeling anxious because you need predictibility/to maintain control over your system Mud?

would you be willing to give this a try..link below....it makes the whole process of symlink creation a lot easier..i haven't tried this with waves but its pretty powerful..( i also found out that if you're installing an update to whatever software it is you've got installed, it tucks it away in the symlink destination - the structure is preserved.)?

Thanks for that, I'm checking it out now and to be honest it looks fairly complicated, but I'm looking at it some more to see if it starts to become digestible, I have a feeling I'll be waiting for R2R as usual but just thought I would poke around since there have been so many waves updates since the last R2R Waves release. Thanks for responding.

yes i think its worth suggesting to R2R that they DO have a go at 12 even in its current state as its alot more usable regarding viewing the plugins.

The only thing you need symlink for is the Acoustic Net impulses.
You can install the content to all Electric Pianos, Clavinet & Virtuall Bass on a different drive
And when you open up the standalone or the plugin version it will show a red bar high up on the GUI saying something like "cant find content" bla bla so just click on the bar and locate where you installed the content and off you go.

Move the Waves folder (installer) to anywhere it is convenient to install from, but installs end up on C. Period. (To the extent of my experience.)

You can always install it, move the installation folder wherever you want, and have a symlink point to the new location. I do that very often, and there comes a little tool handy:

this adds a symlink entry to the context menu.
without that you need to do a little command line magic.
