I installed all three updates, swapped out patched au, vst,
Ran codesign on the au, and restarted...

Hey there can you please explain how you got this to work on a Mac? I followed every step carefully. When I launch Keyscape (either standalone or as VST) I first get "no STEAM folder found", then I point it to where the folder is, but it gives me the same "no STEAM folder" message a few more times or "not a valid STEAM folder" .... then it goes to actually open Keyscape app but with a new message about not having the write permissions for the STEAM folder... I can select and open patches but no actual samples are loaded.

I am trying to update Keyscape to the latest updates for Patches and Soundsource. I have the patched DLLs already in place so it is authorized already. But when I run the updates mentioned I get this error: ""Installation Attributes file not found. Contact Spectrasonics customer support". How do I get around this. There is an Installation Attributes.dat file in both the update directories but I still get the error. What am I missing?

I had errors if I ran those before the "Software Update", so I ran the software update first.
It is strange, as instructions from Pirate and others give the order of installation as :
1. Soundsource Library Update
2. Patch Library Update
3. Software Update

I found an old post I made on AudioSex about this, but it refers to installing with the original disks & 2.0.3 installer. It says:

"- When I then run the latest "Patch Library" & "Soundsource" update installers I do get a notice because I have not run the program yet and it does not know the path to the Steam folder. No problem really.
-- For each of those updates it gives the message:
"Installation Attributes file not found. Contact Spectrasonics customer support"
-- so i click "OK" (the only option) and then it says,
"Unable to find the STEAM folder. Please locate the actual STEAM on your disk (not the shortcut) and select it in the next window."
-- I browse and select the Steam folder and it installs the updates fine."

I would suggest running the installer for the "software update" or running the program.
Even though it is not the order prescribed, I am running everything fine.

The order does NOT have anything to do with it. In fact, if that was the case everyone who installed it would have had the SAME problem. Furthermore, a developer is not going to have such strict requirements with updates knowing that it could be necessary to issue independent updates WITHOUT the need to reinstall any of the others. For example, Keyscape Patches 1.3c were released in 8-28-18, Keyscape Soundsources 1.0.2 in 1-19-17 without ANY software updates. If you extract the installers instead of running them from the .rar or zip. container, and have full permissions, you should not have ANY such problems.

Wow! I just got a headache when I came to grips with your suggestion that SOME people probably ARE double-clicking the .exe while it's STILL located inside of the archive.

Oh my......

I must remember to thank the Most High for my "beautiful mind" when I say my prayers tonight. He could have made ME one of those people but He spared me.
