I didn't have any high expectations for this because the Audio Assault amp sims I've tried before has been awful, but this actually sounds really good! It can't compete with Neural DSP and Amplitube stuff, but for a free amp sim it's as good as it gets. A-B it with STL Emissary with the same IR and the sound is at least as good as Emmisary and this one also has built in overdrive, gate, IR loader with IRs, oversampling AND standalone mode! I would definately recommend this!

check out the amped-roots by ML soundlab. it just released a few days ago and its a free download. its maybe the best free high gain amp sim ive ever used and i have pretty much all the neural dsp and STL stuff.

Very good sim. It cleans up very smoothly reacting to the volume pot of my strat. Quiet easy to dial good tones by trial and error. Thanks for letting us know this one.
