This is old school sampling at it’s best, taking a single sample and stretching it across the keyboard, except here you actually get two samples, so you can seamlessly morph from muted to non-muted.
It sounds distinctive, Nordic and somewhere between a flute, and organ and a cello.

Instead, you get 5 different harmonic samples, both con sordino and normale, each with a different root note but stretched across the same range, and each with it’s own slider so you can extract a wide variety of timbres by balancing the levels. The crossfade from con sordino to normale articulation is incredibly expressive, with a very Scandi Noir quality to it.

A happy fiddle noodling in the key of D

Here we have a happy little fiddle performing in D. Although it’s a one-trick pony, it is detailed, intimate, imperfect, and alive. As long as you’re playing in the key of D, this little fiddle will be happy. The modwheel controls dynamics. It was sampled at 120 bpm, and will tempo sync to your DAW, though the rhythm can be a little wonky at times. For years I’ve been dragging my feet trying to capture the idea of sampling “performances,” deconstructing them, reconstructing them, and then making them playable. Some of my earlier submissions touch on this idea.

Prometheus is an epic cinematic soundbank for Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2 synth.

It contains 96 cinematic synths of different categories. The sounds are influenced by the myth of Prometheus who gave fire to humanity. he most sounds are pretty much compressed and distorted giving a “sonic hazardous” feeling. Additionally, they have a lot of mid frequencies to add more tension to the atmosphere. Especially the presets with the instant almost “abrupted” attack helps in this direction. Some other have a noisy layer included – especially Deucalion preset subgroup, which is influenced by the myth of Deucalion’s Flood.
