This sampling was a little tricky but you can get useable results. There is some funky stuff that happens in the high end on the mojo modes so perhaps the engine wasn’t really truly bypassed. Anyway adds a sense of dimension to synths and strings when used in a send. Use with your favourite VST emulation in parallel.

This is an exquisite sampling of the tone of a channel strip that has preamp, compressor and EQ box with a wonderful clear valve tone. Mainly fairly transparent there is a pleasant increase in definition to a source. These samplings have a more compressed mid range so the deep end becomes more pronounced with the more compressed samplings. Use with your favourite compressor or just use the presets as is to tighten things up either on a track or Master bus. It has that characteristic crunchy crispy hi end thang.

This superlative chain of a Pre amp fed into the most transparent analog eq may be the ticket. With wide overlapping bands the tone shaping capabilities of this strip are just nothing short of incredible. The preamp alone although very transparent allows through much of the low end that other preamps shave off and with an extended high end will give your tracks a beautiful lift. Get your brass to pop or be raspy. You will appreciate the extra clarity you get in the top end as well.

This is a superb Chain sampling of the Replica NV pre plugged into the instrument input of the console strip – a 1u rack mounted channel strip that has four modules. In the analog world sometimes recording may have been done on a Neve desk and mixing done on an API. This gave a unique hybrid clear but full sound. The Neve gave a larger than life sound whereas the API gave the detailed punchy sound off-setting the smiley curve that Neve’s can give when inputs get pushed. This made for a clear but full sound. Use this on instruments needing girth and cut such as electric guitars and drums busses. Pianos take on a more detailed texture. This sampling is into the whole strip of this fabulous module. The NV pre has a somewhat tubby low end and when pushed gives a silky high end so the 50 db sampling really has a gorgeous high end lift perfect for dry vocals. The combination of the two gives a very easy to attain cutting but larger than life sound.

A lot of planning, research and passion went into this product. I set out to provide a toolset of the highest order to satisfy professionals who with a little bit of patience can create high resolution, spacious and dynamic mixes. This product is aimed squarely at the professional who may be unhappy with current offerings that although expensive may still leave a hunger for more. Attempting to create the most colourful but affordable offering of this particular sound, you may just be able to avoid having to pay through the nose to get a small format console, such is the attention to detail in this library. Sampled with ‘Prismsound Orpheus’ precision at 192 khz, you will not be disappointed. The reason I have not made any 192khz presets is that the file sizes were absolutely enormous and 192 khz was proving problematic with the current state of NAT and also Nebula.

This is a nice quick mix set sampling of a 1u rack mounted channel strip that has four modules. This sampling is the whole module from DI to Output with tweaks to cover smooth Jazz. It is Part of a series that I am exploring based primarily on the smooth jazz of a band called Fourplay, a collection of some of the finest jazz musos ever recorded. After listening tests to many of their reference recordings and tweaks to emulate the curves to get similar results, load and listen to your kick take on a subtle but polished feel. Known for being punchy and present. This modern AyPeye flavour of a vintage hardware is quite something to mix with giving you the sound of many rock albums ITB. Use in conjunction with the other modules for a full console experience where desired. Mixing drums just got a little easier.
