Henry Olonga NV Replica Pre into The Console Strip 192 khz For Nebula-MAGNETRiXX screenshot
TEAM MAGNETRiXX | 27 March 2014 | 600 MB
This is a superb Chain sampling of the Replica NV pre plugged into the instrument input of the console strip – a 1u rack mounted channel strip that has four modules. In the analog world sometimes recording may have been done on a Neve desk and mixing done on an API. This gave a unique hybrid clear but full sound. The Neve gave a larger than life sound whereas the API gave the detailed punchy sound off-setting the smiley curve that Neve’s can give when inputs get pushed. This made for a clear but full sound. Use this on instruments needing girth and cut such as electric guitars and drums busses. Pianos take on a more detailed texture. This sampling is into the whole strip of this fabulous module. The NV pre has a somewhat tubby low end and when pushed gives a silky high end so the 50 db sampling really has a gorgeous high end lift perfect for dry vocals. The combination of the two gives a very easy to attain cutting but larger than life sound.

This is a cutting edge library guaranteed to make your mixes sound less digital. You will be amazed at how someone had placed a sock over your digital files. Sampled at the highest sampling rate available to date in Nebula Libraries and delivered at that rate. Native 192 khz sampling and also 96 khz available. Designed to work best at 96 khz. This means you need to be patient as the libraries load and resample internally. Don’t worry, the quality will speak for itself. You will be amazed at the improved transient response.

Haha! Axel! I know this is an old post but anyway! don't know man, I've been a HO libs user for about 8 years in and out and today I'm back again to his stuff. Back then I was younger and certainly was looking for a different and more aggro vibe so I was not able to see how good these releases were.

This week i've been putting pretty much all of his strips and pres on my mixes and man, it's a whole different monster. I do hear the changes, sometimes they're not obvious that's why he calls it "mojo" sometimes it'll be more like a feeling of depth. Not placebo definitely.

One way to check this is putting a signal generator - nebula with a preset - freq analyzer. Turning nebula on and off will show you the harmonic content changing as you manipulate the unit.

They're still kind of a hassle to work with, but as I said before, I keep coming back to nebula and particularly to HO stuff.
