Thanks! You guys know Halion 6, Sonic and SE were all updated a few days ago, true? In Steinberg Download Assistant, ready to rock. Halion 6 has Sonic too, so you don't need to download/install both. Just Halion 6 and then SE if you want that too.

Halion 6 and/or Halion Sonic as heavyweights or it will also work with Halion Sonic SE, too.

Btw,

Are these halion libraries any good ?

Halion could have sold like crazy...it even allows scripting, selfpublishing, auto sample note by note, 5000 presets... but almost nobody is making libraries for it.
And no matter how good a vsti is, without a bunch of people making patch libraries for it...its almost DOA...
Eg, the amazing waldorf largo...there only exists 3 or 4 commercial soundbanks for it..a true shame.

I don't understand steinberg...they have more resources than most companies out there...
They screwed the cmc series, by selling each unit over 150 bucks...then, discontinued it.

Halion6, they only needed to spend 20 or 30'000 euros/dollars, and ask a few top sound designers to create some cool soundbanks..let them sell it on their respective websites/stores..
Guys like The Unfinished.... Richard Devine...and a few others...

Thousands of hollywood guys, who buy all the Unfinished cinematic stuff, would instantly buy a halion6, just to be able to play with 400 or 500 Unfinished patches.

What are 20, or 30'000 €/$, for steinberg....?
