Here’s the 2nd installment of our sample pack Werkzeug, this time assembled by Rampa. His idea: to pool the best loops, one shots and sounds he collected over the years to form an authentic and extensive library. The focus within is on percussive elements, not melodies, on dirty and raw bits of atmosphere and noise.

Most samples intentionally have been shaped in incoherent lengths and volumes; they’ve been recorded in different rooms and different qualities – to make things a bit more adventurous and let accidents add the extra twists that are just not calculable. You’ll find synthetic sounds as well as organic ones, mixed material and raw stuff. Just the type of sonic matter that evokes the magic in-between grids. Artwork by Monja Gentschow.

We picked some random stuff downloaded from the internet but we was so lazy, we didn' t took time to edit and normalize them "

Depends what who likes. Definetly not the cleanest and most HQ sounds ;)

what i've learned over the years is that you can't always listen to the critiques of others when it comes to whether or not you yourself should/could/would enjoy something. i happened to enjoy this pack and have already incorporated a few from this pack into unfinished material I've had lying around unsure of how to finish them. i also see comments on how these sounds aren't "normalized" or that they aren't "clean/hq" but really they just happen to have a little crackle to them as if listening to them on vinyl which i find in half of the kits i download from here anyways.

Oh wow! Thanks so much DECiBELLE! I requested this! I absolutely love Rampa and this label! Great music that more "underground". It's not always about the sonic quality but rather the musicality of the samples and how it can inspire you to make groovy dance music that is for the mature crowd.
