Until now, if you wanted a realistic acoustic guitar in your productions, the only serious option was to use a real guitarist. Numerous sample libraries and virtual instruments have come and gone that proclaimed realism, but fell far short of delivering on that promise. At best, they could be used to fill in a guitar part in pre-production mock ups that would later need to be replaced by a real guitar performance. All were better buried in the mix rather than exposed.

A product of the '80s, this flashy red electric guitar emanates clean chorus tones and shredding leads that go on forever. Quite literally, in fact, as the guitar includes a sustainer pickup which allows notes to ring indefinitely. While it might seem like a novelty initially, the sustainer pickup actually adds a lot of options for effects that aren't obtainable with an ordinary guitar. For example, chords can be held in conjunction with the volume pedal to create organic pad-like swells. In high-gain lead guitar sounds, the sustainer pickup sometimes causes harmonics to ring, almost like feedback from the guitar amp.

While we've provided the as-is direct signal of the bass, we also included an enhanced signal as well, which adds some bite to the attack of the notes and also increases the richness and sustain of the bass.

K-OSC is a sample based instrument built upon the Mini polyphonic analog synthesizer by John KRISCHER. Full EN/FR Manuals provided. K-OSC was our first attempt to produce a Kontakt library. It’s a raw instrument plugged into guitar effects.
Inspired by John KRISCHER’s original handmade Analog Polyphonic Synthesizer, the K-OSC is pure oscillator juice: no ADSR, no LFO, no MIDI. But our “inspired by” instrument is a bit less ‘basic’ than the real deal hence it’s got independant volume controls for each oscillator instead of ON/OFF switches. And you can play it using MIDI notes.

They were recorded by Sam Friend, Robert Katz, & Barrett Ver Planck in Robert Katz’ Room at Wackerman Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada.
