This is amazing.

Well yes, maybe many of the sounds have panning issues and maybe there are some samples named wrong (and are missing now).
Maybe you don't have the real Motif engine with the filters, parameters etc. But you can use any VST for this.
And you have a lot of time. You don't need the Category Search or Performances. Arpeggiators? There are a lot of them in your DAW.
Real Time Loop Remix? Just use Bitwig.
The loop- and tape-based Sequencers? What's wrong with Air's Cubase 5?
FSX or BH keys? Come on, you can't play anyway...

This lib might sound not as good at first. But it's definitely not because these are just basic samples in questionable quality. It's because you are not used to professional sound yet.
Just think about it. You have 50 GB (that's about 70x of the real synth) and it's from a Motif XF(!). This just has to be the best Kontakt library available.

I'm sure I'll be in the charts from next week on.

I'm new here i've just became a member. I've been following this topic and i read all comments in this topic. You may be right, i was thinking of downloading this library but think i gave up now. How are guitars, pianos in that library? I wonder this most.

If you need a piano, get a piano (there are a lot of them here). Same goes for guitars or any other instrument.

The first DVD 1 can't be extracted, the others work fine ... i've tried to download from different hosters, but it doest work.


it says:

This doesn't even come close to the feel, sound, or control of an actual motif but with a decent GUI and script with controls it would help immensely.

Hi i just finished downloading the first dvd and it says that it's not an RAR archive..i tried using stuffit expander and that dint work either...i need the piano which is in the first dvd...could someone please help me???

Hi,

Since couple of days I'm working on "revisited" version of Yamaha Motif XF for Kontakt.

Updated screen capture HERE!

- All missing samples problems are solved.
- All samples are (lossless) compressed (ncw).
- All PAN are fixed to 0 (center) instead of 50.4 (right).
- Validating every instrument (some are fantasy) by using official Yamaha documentation and Internet resources.
- Custom nicnt/wallpaper.
- NKI / NCW are designed for Kontakt 5 v5.2.1 (or later).
- Simple custom UI for every instrument, small KSP script (on init).
- Custom icon for every instrument
- Optimizing samples (many unused or unknown as XF are removed).

Who are TrueNotes exactly? No website (except ebay for selling). IMO it was designed for Reason (Refills) then badly converted to Kontakt. TrueNotes seems not serious (bad stuff).

At final, they're exactly 937 different "voices" (instruments) + 68 drum kits, for 1207 NKI files (because several "voices" fit into two categories).

Unfortunately, 482 voices are missing (not published by TrueNotes, some are discarded b'coz not XF-compliant!).

EDIT: Lastest news (July 11): now I'm beginning to upload all 6 DVD to mega.co.nz.

All Motif XF serie (6/7/8) are available since mid-2010. XF6 is 61-keys model, XF7 is 76-keys model, XF8 is 88-keys (hammer effect) model. XF8 isn't a newest one, however.

@Axiom01 : all downloaded from mega.co.nz when published and no problems to decompress all DVD by using LASTEST WinRAR (version 5.01). Some filename are truncated to 8.3 (DOS), so read carefully the long post by dosukoi (page 4) in order to fix these filenames and other thing. Or wait for my "revisited" version (see my post above).

Bad Samples, not one sample per note, fails on dynamic, really poor.
Yamaha did in the past DX7, today they do trash. Can't believe why people use it. do not sound music.
