SM Studio returns with a sublime second edition serving of MK1 Rhodes and Wurlitzer loops oozing with classic disco and funk flavours. Recorded using classic amps and mics for an authentic old school sound, these loops will slot seamlessly into disco, house and even techno productions.

Packed with over 120 all-new key-labeled melodic motifs across three tempo groups (120, 125 and 130bpm), we’ve also included MIDI versions of each loop to offer unrivalled creative control over each loop

Whilst MIDI gives you the freedom to edit all aspects of the loops (from notation and note length to velocities and swing settings), we’ve also bundled in Apple Loops and Rex files for those seeking more control over the audio itself.

Recorded using a selection of vintage amps - such as the Roland JC120 Jazz Chorus – and classic mics (Neumann U87 and Rode NT2), the internal volume circuitry of the Rhodes was bypassed entirely to avoid unwanted earth hum from the volume and bass pots - a particularly common difficulty when recording these classic keyboards.

Designed to offer stacks of instant topline inspiration, many of these track-starting loops are offered with accompanying ‘family’ loops for full melodic arrangement possibilities.
