These exact features collected in one plugin before ? No, not exactly like this.
Big Fish Audio's Momentum is the most similar to this and free.
There are a few multitrack glitch machines that have multiple lanes synced, but not exactly like this.
What it's doing is obviously doable with just Kontakt and your own samples, or can be done within any DAW.
It's unique and seems a fun creative tool.
I think since around 2003, every plugin maker started to see what fx or features hadn't yet been combined in one plugin. And that's mostly what they've been doing ever since.
At first it was like two fx in one plugin with macros, so the plugin was able to do what took two plugins and lots of automation before.
But really, there is "nothing new under the sun".
Production and mixing techniques haven't changed, we just have more efficient plugins to help do the work quicker now.
If you think about about it, a plugin is the same ecosystem as a DAW anyway. A DAW is a big standalone plugin that hosts more plugins.
It's all holographic.
A plugin can be made to do what a DAW can do, and a plugin can host other plugins now.
But it's all just the same old same old.
As this plugin is really, but having collected some cool things together in one plugin.
I haven't checked yet to see if this also has a standalone, but I'd like that.
Working with beats outside of the DAW is refreshing, before then going into the DAW with the ideas from the standalone.

edit: seems to be AU and VST only.
Kind of think it's expensive for what it is, compared to the free BFA Momentum.
The Clavichord is from the Late Middle Ages. It's not a Clavinet.
