This book is a collection of chords used in over 45 Allan Holdsworth tunes, organized and categorized. Allan had an incredibly unique, unconventional and yet simple of understanding harmony and chords . Get an insight into those views and what makes his chord voicings so special and unique.

The strength of the book is really up to the person using it. Not only could it be used as a chord thesaurus to get new, more interesting chord choices, but to you can alter them for your own play style. Create your own chords using his voicings as a template. Or even using Allan's own harmonic concept to create your own unique voicings. Also included is a brief explanation of music theory and how Allan's approach can be confusing using our traditional music system, but how liberating it is once that system is abandoned.

One small warning. Since Allan was known for having large hands, some of the chords contained in this book can be physically very difficult to play. There are also some tips on how to approach playing some of the more challenging ones. But fear not, as most of the chords contained in here do not require a huge stretch and can be relatively simple to play!
