I know bro.... in the list of licenses of the fake e-lic of VR isn't present and therefore should be created.... I have no idea what it would be difficult to do but as did the licenses for the Groove Agent 5 and The Grand 3, I think it could be done for the Virtual Guitarist 2!
I had found a couple of people selling the original license but they wanted absurd amounts of money so I never bought it!

Virtual Guitarist 2 uses Hardware Dongle, not Software Dongle

"Included with the Virtual Guitarist 2 package, you will find an activation
code for the Steinberg Key (sometimes referred to as a “dongle”), a
hardware copy protection device that is part of the Virtual Guitarist
copy protection scheme. Virtual Guitarist 2 will not run if there is no
Steinberg Key and if this key hasn’t been properly activated. "

No substantial difference ... the license is the same is that in the past they sold the software with the box and this also included the elicenser hardware key with the pre-installed license above! (see The Grand 3, Cubase, Groove Agent, Nexus ....). Then they began to allow the download of the license via internet connection. A few years ago I had contacted Steinberg to see if it was possible to obtain a paid license but they replied that they had closed the servers due to excessive cost and therefore it was no longer possible! In conclusion: the licenses are all the same, only the places where to deposit them change !!

EDIT: I checked better and you're partially right: the problem lies in the license itself: there are some programs such as Cubase Pro-Artist, Nuendo, WaveLab Pro that don't accept locations other than the Hardware elicenser key to be deposited. I knew that R2R was already working to solve the problem that obviously have not yet solved. In conclusion: I confirm that the license is basically the same for all the programs with the above differences!
However I don't think Virtual Guitarist 2 is part of this category but I could be wrong! (At the time of its release it was more practical to sell the software with the pre-installed license on the Hardware elicenser key).

I don't guess, I inquire! As I said the difference lies in the fact that some licenses do not support the elicenser software ..... maybe there is a way to crack this type of license but even if I know the reverse engineering process I'm not good enough .. . it would be enough to make the license believe to be in a hardware elicenser but as I said I 'm not good enough! Steinberg sold all his products with hardware elicenser (at the time of Virtual Guitarist 2) and therefore I hoped that the VG 2 could be violated like the other products (The Grand, Groove Agent)! I have some Vengeance plugs (Metrum, Multiband Sidechain ...) and despite having downloaded them via the web, the licenses do not agree to reside in a software elicenser! We'll see!! And please no more controversy!

We could debate for years, pointless. Enjoy what you have as i don't see any hope of a old 2009 x86 plugin wrapped in Mfact emerging any day in the future.

I know very well and you are right but unfortunately a plug that can replace the Virtual Guitarist 2 has not yet come out. Despite being old, it still sounds very good and has an unmatched editing page (Ujam and Kontakt are not up to par), therefore I think it might be worth working on. A friend of mine has a copy of it working in his recording studio, converted to 64 bit via 32Lives and it works fine (Logic X v.10.5.1 under Mojave OS)! This is only a futiule hope, maybe later someone will manage to crack it!

I have one original license. I have updated to Catalina and there is no way to use it.
I will sell it soon if i don't find the way to use it.

finally was working perfectly up to Mac Os Mojave.
