Symphonic Orchestra is available as a Kontakt download. It's not impossible.

Yeah ok guys.. I know.. I couldn't find any info or this was a standalone or a
Kontakt version. Don't really understand why that's SO funny, altough i'm laughing too for my mistake right now. I assumed it was for Kontakt because all of their previous releases were for Kontakt. So can somebody tell me why they would make now suddenly standalone.. if it is and i make no mistake by saying it's a standalone now..

EWQL makes things with their PLAY sampler and not Kontakt. That said, Symphonic Orchestra IS available elsewhere re-made for Kontakt. The same thing may someday also happen to Hollywood Orchestra and this new Hollywood Choir library.

If it does, the distributor will be having the last laugh

So, what you're actually say, is that everything from EWQL was always supported by Play 6 ? Never heared about that Play 6 thing neither Hollywood Orchestra ? I'm around here and on Torrents for several years now and i have from EWQL in Kontakt format, all working fine and still in use => Symphonic Orchestra Platinum Expanded FULL + Symphonic Choirs Gold FULL + RA + Collosus + Piano's + Rare Instruments + Voices of the Apocalypse + Voices of Passion ( several ) + these came from this site => Symphonic Adventures + Percussion . I believe RA was even available in INTAKT sampler. So all of these are made by "crackers" or guys with spare time ? That's why i was confused.. but hey, thanks for "backing me up" here with my stupidity, you're the real " Placeholder" here..

they used to make Kontakt libraries, or acutally Kompakt player libraries (that you could also use in Kontakt) But already manyh many years ago, they switched to their own PLAY engine to be protected against pirates. Well at least that worked, but at the same time, their reputation went to shit because the PLAY engine sucksz balls!

Apart from that, EWQL is totally outdated! Those samples must be like 15 years old.

They're not totally terrabad. There's tons of articulations in Symphonic Orchestra and it's ironically pretty quick to load because it's old.

But yeah, it's not really contemporary anymore like Orchestral Tools or Spitfire.

I think they are still relevant for this time period. You're also right about loading time. Of course you can't compare with Spitfire or others now a days, but you can't say it sounds like '70's disco strings to make a comparison. I started with EWQL and Miroslav Philarmonik, and still use it, because of easy workflow and imo still sounds fine. Years ago it was top of the bill . We are so spoiled these days. Personally i don't have any intrest to hear the noise of a piano pedal or a tiny fart of the piano player..Since those oversized libs comming up.. people begin to wipe mike articulations, just keep the closest one. It's just way over the top. Good for Seagate and Western Digital tough. I remember those days i walked in a music store and heared one of the first yamaha digital synth making choir and string sounds. Man, i was amazed.., yes i'm old ;-) , i know..
