i complain about crap getting posted on a regular basis . I have to wade through pages of pap-ware and strong sounds PDF collection, before i find something good.

I check AudioZ every day. But if i did it once a week I'd have to wade through about 17 pages of 1993 pap-ware.

can we have star ratings for posters, or thanks and no thanks buttons for them. Discover and Quakeaudio post great modern stuff that they have got, not like strong sound and a few others that post crap from torrents.

I bought a big fish and unreleased audio in 2 weeks get the big fish audio dynamics .. this is very odd .. Developers missing

It would be nice if there were separate sections for any kind of literature, I'm sure most of us don't care about any of that stuff and don't want to see it, so for the people that want to wade through 500 PDF posts, they can go to that particular section.

I happen to like the PDF's such as the FUTURE MUSIC, SOUNDONSOUND & COMPUTER MUSIC MAG releases... Billboard mags & Rolling Stone, ToneAUDIO are ok too

I'm liking the musician stuff, being a guitar player, as long as there are multiple hosts being listed. Stuff at avax are mostly becoming filesonic only for some reason and a lot of the music instruction stuff I see there gets repeated here.

I'm sure a lot of us have got a list of a few sites we check for new freeware releases and updates so perhaps the simple explanation would be to post a list of "approved" sites containing free products somewhere on the board rather than accepting posts containing links to free apps.
Just my $0.10 worth.

Hopefully keeping the front page (i'd like to see the first 3 pages) free of cr*p will deter the people posting this sh*t as much as they do. Not saying names, but they know who they are.

AudioZ is not the site for you to be making money off of, let alone supplying cr*p in exchange for the $$$ your expecting to make from people falling for your dodgy content.
There is heaps of other sites that would glady take on your dodgy warez...well maybe not. Maybe it's time to find another source of income.

Agreed. I don't enjoy coming to this site much compared to a year ago. You have to sift through page after page of useless junk just to find something half decent. It didn't use to be like that.

didn't think just reporting this would have solved the issue. i am not completely against posting/informing about free/abandoned stuff, specially if it is rare to find. all i want is to see is that they add a link to the original source. and a separate sexion is also very welcome. for both of which a policy change and some action on the admin's part was required. and i also wanted to see what other fellow members think about all of this. so i thought about posting an article instead.

I don't want to defend StrongSound, but I'd like to point out that the main reason why I (and also many others, I guess) like AudioZ ist that here you have a lot of stuff which you don't find on other sites (yes, I'm talking about the PDFs, video tutorials, etc.)

So just because some of you think that all this is bullshit, that doesn't mean that all users think that way.
I am thankful for the Music Books, Magazines and Songbooks.

For me, all the hundreds and thousands of loop collections, beats and construction kits is crap, and often enough I have to scroll through a lot of pages with them until I find something that interests me. But that doesn't make me say "stop posting all that fucking loops". Here everybody should and can find what he/she is interested in.

Concerning the freeware posted here, I agree with the point that a link to the original site should be posted, if the freeware is posted here at all.

biodigitzman, you most probably are not those people, but by sticking up for them and saying you know they are not the same person is surely going to rouse suspicion, because you seem to claim you know something.

In reality you are probably just guessing because you have not checked for yourself over a period of time that would then change your way of thinking. Don't tkae my word for it do your own observations, and I don't mean silly little images about 'this service is banned'.

Let's face it, the prime motive for a lot of uploaders on this site is money, they give this site a bad name because they take other people's private shares and claim them as their own for money, they do not care who they rip off or what they post as long as they make MONEY.

Some people think they are wonderful because they post a lot of stuff here, and fail to relaise that nothing that these people post has come from their own pockets. They don't buy stuff to share like some real members here (quakeaudio springs to mind) and those people that give these money makers praise could easily find what they downloading from elsewhere, all the money makers have done is brought it here so they don't have to use google. They are just and extension of google.

Do I begrudge people making money, no, especially if it goes to supporting a family in some way, but I suspect the people that do this are just too lazy to get a real job, and probably don't have a family to support. They probably spend their money on drugs instead. Now obviously I'm specualting, I've built up an image in my mind of the kind of people that upload for money, generally unscrupulous types whose motivation is money.

This is why this site has recently become full of shit. You actually have to wade through shit to find the gold. So many made up fake posts, 'best electro ever' or whatever, some total BS sample pack that is just bits and bobs from other packs with a photoshopped cover to make poeple think it's a new pack!

They are so tacky they're easy to spot! Obviously these are acts of desperation, when you are not buying antythign to share with the scene and you can find anyone else's posts to claim as your own then the last resort is to make up a pack. Who wants to have the sample samples duplicated on their drives? Who wants to have something you already disguised as something new? Certainly not me!

They make many accounts on here and other sites, trying to fool us that they are different people, but the links they provide not only leave clues as to who they are, but also their motives for posting. It' not rocket science!

These leeching money makers aren't actually helping the scene at all, because they are flooding the place with utter shite, reducing the user's experience in the process. They are also not helping the people who buy premium accounts to file hosters.

I stopped buying premium accounts, I wont be dictated by anyone where I should spend my cash. These crappy host offer these money making scum cash if they upload to them, so they will defect to a new host to gain a few extra $$$ and don't care that downkloaders might have just bought a premium with a previous host they were using, and they also don't care how much of an inconvenience a host is to the user.

If they gave a shit about anyone they'd choose a host with their downloaders in mind, multiupload for example is great you get a selection of hosts, and because you have so many to choose from there is no need to buy a premium again. So you'd think it'd be a good choice, but they wont do that because of money. This scene has been going quite some time, and it has sustained for all that time mainly by people that share what they buy, so those that can't afford stuff can also use it. No harm in that. And these people do it for the love of it, it makes the world a better place, and they will take into consideration what hosts peopel prefer, and these type of people are still the main people that keep this scene going.

The money makers however just take from these people to make money and to claim the glory for themselves. Anyway, this has turned into an epic ramble, you get the idea, stop all the BS posts and get back to how the scene was, and should be. Amen

Maybe something that could be implemented is the chance for a user rating system. Allowing everyone to posts their thoughts about particular member & rate them, or ask for them to be banned.
Of course this would only be viewable by SAiNT.
