Actually I have it. I bought it when it first came out. I've used it extensively. But it's too much of a pain in the ass to use when you're always on the road with a laptop - that only has 2 usb ports. One of those usb ports has to be used to run the daw. That usb port can be used for better things like an external hard drive, interface, microphone, Maschine, etc. That and the GUI is too cluttered. The colors & layout is so 1998. And their customer service for it... is nothing short of horrendous. Try losing your iLok & having to get a replacement license. You know how long I waited before Propellerhead finally replaced my license? 53 days & counting. Not very customer-friendly, I'd say. Yep. Jumping to conclusions before you know the whole story - goes to show how much you know, buddy.

That & I think it's just not worth it in the eyes of the crack teams. I mean, with enough effort, the copy protection could be broken. Look at Pro Tools, for example. Except Pro Tools is the industry standard & is used by more high-end studios than say, Cubase. So in that case it was worth it for the super-heroes known as AudioUtopia. Will they crack Reason? They could. But I think they're smart enough to know that Reason is simply a another waste of time... like the cracked Motu stuff from OpenSSH - the plugins were cracked fine but the factory soundbanks were never really cracked at all. Lol.
I owned Reason legally since version 6.0.5. Then I upgraded to version 9. After the lost iLok incident, I sold my copy of Reason 9, Pro Tools 12, My Eleven Rack, My Avid Thunderbolt Interface, Avid MBox Pro, My copy of Propellerhead Record, Avid Sibellius, all my Rack Extentions & refills for reason, and all my Pro-Tools-only software. About $2,830 in total came back to me. I took that money & got myself a Access Virus TI Snow ($630), a UAD Apollo Twin Solo ($500), some UAD-2 plugins (~$200), UVI Falcon ($299), a Gretsch guitar ($400) & an adorable 3 month old cat from the animal shelter (cost increases as cat gets older, but always worth it nonetheless).
What more can I say? Fuck Avid & Propellerheads. LOL
