Problem in cubase "select waves 9.2 plugins folder" I have followed all the steps, I cleaned the old installation, and does not work, it only works if I open the washellvst before each plug were separated in your folder (EQ, dynamics, ...) now are in the Waves folder (Mono, Stereo , ...) Any solutions?

There's a topic in the Manual about 'MIDI Assignments' that could perhaps enlighten you about your trouble. Not sure that's exactly what may solve your problem, but take a look at it...

The Load with Preset filter is a CODEX-exclusive custom toolbar that lets you choose whether or not to load certain preset characteristics such as MIDI assignments...

MIDI – Let’s say you’ve assigned a MIDI controller knob to CODEX’s VCF cutoff. Loading the next preset will reset this parameter; you will then have to redo the MIDI Learn routine in order to attach the knob to the control. However, if you uncheck the MIDI checkbox, the next preset will be loaded, but the current MIDI assignment will remain in place.

got problems here too..
really strange, the last waves releases worked without problems..
after a reinstall the setup says "access denied" two times, at the first install everything was fine..
and the patcher doesn`t patch half of the files..

Go to c:\program files\waves\plug-ins v9\... and delete the x32 vsts from plugin contents.

I think this release needs to be looked over. I've been reading people having troubles and now I've been having trouble too with the x64 Waves Shell. When I installed everything last night, everything worked great. This morning when I opened up the x64 Waves shell everything was fine but when I tried to load a plugin I would get an error message in my DAW (FL Studio) telling me to make sure it's been correctly installed. The x86 version works fine btw but I always use x64 so this sucks

edit: Well I just re-installed everything and restarted just to make sure before testing and now it seems to be working, I don't know what I did wrong last time but I'll edit again if it happens in the future.

They need to update the NFO to reflect the new installer.

All you need to select in the install is:

Mercury
SSL 4000 Collection
Abbey Road Collection.

That will install everything.

I can confirm that. I just selected Mercury, SSL 4000 Collection and Abbey Road Collection. Nothing else and got...

Patched Successed : 484 in v9r21

(Patched Successed : 479 in v9r20)

Normally and if you're using a DAW in its 64bit Version (as it seems to be your case), you should have the 'Waves' Plugins 64bit Versions automatically loaded instead of the 32bit Versions.
However, if for some reasons that's still not the case, you can then use 'shell2vst64' to get all your desired 'Waves' Plugins as separate elements, and above all, in their 64bit Versions solely.
These 'waveshellized' Versions can then be loaded (and available) within any of your 64bit DAWs.

Sorry to be somewhat disagree with you, but your selection will not really install all the 'Waves' Plugins. Most of these, yes, but not all...
A tip (that I use) is to go to the bottom of the Installer Window, to scroll down the 'Individual Plug-Ins' List, then to simply 'tick' (select) all the Plug-Ins available. You can then go afterward to a specific Bundle to complete (select) some of the few Plug-Ins that are not available as 'Individual Plug-Ins'.
If I well remember right now, it's the case for the 'Q-Clone', the 'IR-1 Convolution Reverb', some of the 'GTR' elements, some of the 'L3' Series,...

Just for info : with this new Version (v9r21), I get exactly 429 Plug-Ins installed (including the Mono & Stereo Versions of some of these), and I think that I installed almost all the 'Waves' Plug-Ins available.
By the way, these 2 new Plug-Ins : 'CODEX' Synth & 'TG12345' (AbbeyRoad) seem to be only selectable via the 'Individual Plug-Ins' List...

I think you like to argue just for the sake of arguing... because selecting those 3 will install every single plugin they make. I know, because I just did it. You on the other hand, haven't even tried it. Codex, TG12345 REDD, etc everything is there... So you can disagree all you want, it doesn't mean you're right.

Over complicating things isn't necessary. You're writing things like "If i remember correctly" - which roughly translates to "I'm just pulling shit out of my ass to look provocative."

I'm still wondering why Waves doesn't market this new TG channel strip. There isn't any info on their website, and it's still not under Abbey Road Collection on their page, as well not under the channel strips...

Your point of view and must be respected.

quote by recordingisfunI know, because I just did it.

Your experiment and must be respected too !

quote by recordingisfunYou on the other hand, haven't even tried it.

It's exactly because I experienced all this with many previous Versions, that now I do this 'All the Individual Plug-Ins' selection first, then I 'grab' some eventually missed Plug-Ins of that List afterwards...

Now, just a few Mathematics if it doesn't matter you...

http://www.waves.com/bundles/mercury
140 Plugins
http://www.waves.com/bundles/ssl-4000-collection
4 Plugins
http://www.waves.com/bundles/abbey-road-collection#butch-vig-and-billy-bush-abbe
y-road-collection
5 Plugins

This makes a Sub-Total of 149 Plug-Ins. I write 'Sub-Total' because a lot of these are provided in their Mono & Stereo Versions.
So here we go : 149 x 2 = 298 Plugins (taken in account that in this example all the Plug-Ins come in Mono & Stereo Versions, which is not the case for all !).
However, some of these Plug-Ins are available in more than 2 Versions for the same Model.
OK, from this result of 298, add say 82 (a bit exaggerate, isn't), just to round up, and you end with... 380 Plug-Ins. Perfect...

But how can you then explain that I ended with exactly 429 Plug-Ins available (with all their respective Versions available), as written in my previous Comment ?

As I stated above:
I just selected Mercury, SSL 4000 Collection and Abbey Road Collection. Nothing else and got...

Patched Successed : 484 (wonder how many of them will I use :p)

Is the 'successed' number R2R log gives, the number of available plugs?

Waves did not work on my cubase 7.5 at all. Blank, black or no screen at all whenever i called for the plugins. Then it crashed my cubae AND my audio driver...
I was about to trash the thing and return to the last version when i did some research on the web.
I was not alone.
If you have persistent crashes JUST RENAME THE WAVESHELL !
see more info there
http://www.pendlebury.biz/waves-plugins-crashing-your-daw
i did not have to find the regkey he talks about and it work just fine...

I tried installing this 4 times. I cleared my registry. I followed the R2R.txt. Copied the waveshells yet I still get NO LICENSE POP ups. Help before I get ebola.
  Member 6.10.2014 44

I had the same problem, persistent "no license" pop - up. Check ALL your VST paths in your DAW software, I found one which, as I remember, wasn't there before - "c:\program files\vstplugins", with wstshell.dll there.

So, double check your vst paths in your DAW, then see if there's some leftovers of waveshell.dlls exist there.

Read R2R instruction carefully. If needed, more than just one time.

I've read mine 15times. Tried to install 8 times in total now. Cleared reg again, tried to install in different folders, tried to install in admin mode, non admin mode, I literally tried everything there is to try. Nothing works, I either get a license error 'Locate Waves Plugins Folder' And when I point it at the plugin folder, it just comes up with the same window over and over again. I ended up installing R18 again, which works perfectly fine.

Ok, if reading R2R info does not help.. someone wrote a guide in the v9r20 thread. Did you try that?

Btw tjoaudio: we use the same OS and DAW (Win8.1 x64/Studio One 2)

My experiences:
I wanted to install this one over v9r20, but it didn't work. So I de-installed and deleted everyhing (folders, reg) from Waves and it worked.

When de-installing:
Check carefully for all folders which are related to Waves.
They can be all over the place. VST3 e.g. are in common files.
I'm not at my music computer so I cant check that closer right now.

And after patching:
you need to copy 3 (if I'm not wrong) patched waveshells into the right folders!
One into where you have the 32bit plugs installed (I think you have to install also 32bit. also when not using).
One into your 64bit
and one into your VST3 folders which is in common files.
the NON-Patched wavesshell's are there. so you have to overwright them!

Good luck!

Well my 32 bit works now. However 64 bit comes up with a message saying 'Select Waves 9.3 Plugins Folder' When I choose the folder it just comes up with the same thing. No idea wtf is going on.
