Since I just upgraded to 7 and there aint much about it, I just deleted every folder that has to do with PreSonus. Install it, run the Sphere, magic, renew. All working fine.

We are getting all the extensions back right ? including MixFX. Downloading the Content release, hopefully everything is in there.

did u find a way to install splice? i installed stem sep and it worked, installed spice and it installed but when i click in the splice tab its just black, nothing in there.

no, I did the install offline, and it worked dandy, I then connected Internet, rebooted Studio One, no problem at all, working OK. I didnt delete any "presonus" from the hosts list, seems irrelevant (have to spend some time on it, check that out, since an hour ago all fine)

finally managed to fix this after hours stuck in login box

my fix:
1. deleted the Program Data and AppData Presonus Folder like mentioned before
2. Open SO7 > login window > offline authorization > copy the activation code
3. open regedit > HKCU\SOFTWARE\TEAM R2R\Sphere Manager > ComputerKey
(I found out that key in the registry different from the activation code in the offline activation window, so I pasted the key)
4. rerun Install Magic and Subscription Renew
5. win

I think there's a bug in the Sphere Manager, then, because mine doesn't seem to be populated with anything other than InstallPath. Creating the key manually didn't fix it for me. For now, I'll keep rolling with the old crack, since it works perfectly for my use.

I don't care about the free Splice stuff... but is there a way for me to use Deep Flight One with this release ? if not it's fine there's other VSTs that are probably better.

Create somewhere New Folder, put PreSonus Studio One 7 Installer.exe in that folder, right click extract here with 7-zip. Use old method for registration.

Thanks for the share. Seems a lot of discussion around 7.0.2. Begs the question - Is it worth upgrading to the latest version at this stage if there are no ground breaking fixes/updates? Think I'll stick to 7.0.1 for now.

If you are not interested in the new content (just fixes and general updates), you can install this release and use the old crack to patch it. No need to reauthorize or any extra steps, just drop the old dll inside the folder after installing.

Happy New Year everybody, here is the thing to get it working.

First of all to address the issue, so there is problem with program for it is giving wrong COMPUTER ID in the registry while installing, IDK if that is about SPHERE MANAGER or what but there is error so it needs to be done manually.

Conclusion, perhaps it is a error at TEAM R2R end with this sphere thing, but as for the online content none of them can not be downloaded online/forget it.
Therefore there is no real advantage using this kind of activation over the keygened one other than SINGLE license is carrying all of them at once, but still is a hassle to do renew every 30 days and it is an update which is nice gift to have.

But all about legit subscription files to download forget about that, maybe the things regarding that matter are included in the content provided and I mean for STEM SEPARATION.

So that tells that on some machines Sphere Manager is giving wrong Machine ID, therefore you were good from the very beginning. Conclusion is that there is a problem either on TEAM R2R end or the Sphere Manager itself, but definitely has nothing to do with old licenses because license is now managed by subscription method i.e. Sphere Manager because theoretically or they said that, that "new magic" is calling other kind of authorization/ Sphere Manager not perpetual license location.

The real advantage seems to be the ability to activate extensions using official .install files. It's important if we think about the 3rd party ones. For example, I've installed the "Navigation Essentials" extension using the official .install file and it worked. It never worked in the previous activation method. It always required the patched .install files. I then tried doing the same thing for Harmony Wizard and I was also able to activate it. Previously it would just throw an error and as the keygened method was not able to recognize unpatched extensions.

My only problem was the "User.license" file in "AppData\Roaming\Presonus\Studio One 7" folder. (Left behind after install).
I deleted that and then Studio One 7 opened fine.
I had no need to do anything else.
All my settings & customized plugins organization remain.
My computer ID in the registry was correct.
