I really don't know. I assume that it's an update in the protection scheme and like any other version updates, it's design allows for better operation. Just an assumption on my part.

Thank you. I just looked it up. Seems like this is a plugin that can have both ilok and machine authorization. I don't know much about this but it was my impression that the real "prize" are plugins are require a physical dongle without offering machine authorization. So looks like this is not as big of a step as I had thought? But then what do I know.

the version means an update that allows a dev to use soft or hardware ilok auth.

The plugs that use 5.0.0.0 should in theory be as open to free-ing if they use that version regardless of whether hard or soft dongle, so long as they were built with that version.

But then, I too could be wrong but that's how I understand it. What I don't know is if 5.0.0.0 is the latest version or already months/years old ;)

Thanks to R2R and @Funtime for all your hard work but regrettably Cubase 9.5 & 10 both refuse to have anything to do with this plugin, firstly by banning VST2 and always crashing with "a serious error has occured. Please save your project under a different filename..." etc., if i try to load the VST3 version...

Windows 7 SP1 X64, running as both normal user and as admin.

I don't think this high rating has anything to do with this plugin. It's all expectation.
I tried this eq and I am not impressed with AI idea in general. I like crave eq these days.
