Finally got this working on my m1 MacBook Pro. I couldn't get this to work for the longest time. Had the permissions error. Enabled and logged onto my root account and redoing step 5-6 and using batchmod seemed to work. Was unable to install any of the updates, but I have all the base presets and it runs like a dream.

I got the keygen.exe to work by using PlayOnMac

But I still have a problem

When trying to update the patches, soundsources and the software it says that my STEAM folder needs to be located at:
Users/Username/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics

But mine is at:
HD/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics

And I cant move my Library folder into the Users/Username/ placement

How should one go about this?

Finally confirmed working on Mac!! (M1, Monterey)
I was stucked in step 7 since I put the STEAM folder in an external hd and I couldn't find the alias of this folder, for which I tell you what I did:
- You must create a folder called Spectrasonics in User/Library/Application Support
(you make visible this library with: GO + option)
- Give this folder get info: everything must be in read & write
- Create ALIAS of the STEAM folder in the external hd and copy inside the created Spectrasonics folder. (if your OS creates it with the name STEAM alias, delete the word alias)
- Give the folder alias Get info: all again in read & write and then open the tab on the bottom left and click apply to all subfolders (enclosed items)
- Open Omnisphere (I had to open it 2 times) and be very patient because it takes a long time to index everything and open, maybe a few minutes.
- Enjoy!

Hey guys, I finally got through the whole installation process and I managed omnisphere to start up on a M1 Mac with Big Sur.
Now I'm facing a different problem though, I get a lot of error messages when loading different (most of them) sounds:

'Cannot load SoundSource "afterthought sines a" from Directory "Core Library" File Afterthought Sines a.zmap may be missing or corrupted. Try refreshing the SoundSource Browser'

A few sounds are working though.


Any Idea what I can do about it???

I'm facing the same problem, except I use an external ssd. I assume permissions are correct cause it recognizes every single file but when I click on a sound it gives me the same error.

I'm having issue when extracting the ISO with Keka, i have a failure message at the very end of the extraction, the ISO is here but unusable.

Do somebody have the same issue/can help me to fix it ? :)

Quick Question: If I want to update to the latest version (Currently 2.8). Should I install the updates released so far in order, or is it enough if I install only the latest one and follow step 6 again?

I already tried quitting Omnisphere, deleting the zmap index file located in the STEAM folder, rescan/reload in Omnisphere. Does not work much more.

Hi, weird issue. When I go to step 5 and use the installer, no files appear in my VST/component folder. Anyone else had this issue? I can't patch things that are not there...

Tried and Tested in 2024 on macOS Monterey 12.7.3 with Intel Chip.

Had some Troubleshooting while Installing because of missing writing permission and wrong folder structure.

Add the Spectrasoincs folder in user/library/application support.
Now go in this folder and put your STEAM Alias in there.

Give the STEAM alias write permission by adding read and write permission and granting it to all subfolders (USE BatChmod or simply right-click - information - Sharing & Permission).

After all the steps as in the instructions found in the spoiler, I installed the v2.8.6c version of MORiA.

Works great and didn't have to run the vst and component files through the keygen generator again.
