DUNE 2 provides a yet higher sound quality and allows for an even wider range of sounds than Dune 1. New oscillators, new filters, new effects and graphical envelopes are just some of the new additions.

We have updated DUNE 2 to v2.2. This is a major update which introduces support for custom skins, adds new effect programs, sound parameters, workflow improvements and a bunch of new patches. The update is free for all registered users.

New features:

- Support for custom skins
- Two new reverb programs added: Ambience and Gated Room
- New delay type added: Tape Delay
- Chorus gains low and high cut filters
- LFO Offset parameters added
- Plug-in keyboard range can be adjusted (default c2-c6)
- Two sync modes (host | internal) under Settings
- Arpeggiator and MSEGs now have position indicators while playing
- Performance improvements
- Factory bank size increased, now more than 440 patches

Fixes Mac/Win:

- Plugin Modulation wheel no longer jumps to zero on a patch change
- Detune/Spread knobs have not been updating during Mouse Wheel, fixed

Fixes Mac:

- If the Music directory is an alias directory, the serial was not found, fixed
- Preset selection via left/right arrows was broken, fixed
- Editing patch comments did not always work, fixed

This is the installer, apparently this works to update the previous release.

I know but posting warez using hosting services where you get money for downloads is it too and also using warez is a crime if you ask a lawyer so finally it wouldn't really make a difference.

then everyone here is a criminal, even you for being here I suppose? I mean jaywalking is a crime but i'm sure we all do it. Not to justify anyone's presence here but using hosting sites, for some of us, is not about the money, it's because it's the rules to use certain hosters. Comparing that to your original idea is inconceivable.

nah, being somewhere isn't illegal.

I also wouldn't call it organized crime since it would be a donation to the teams
and so for the users. Organized crime would it be when all would make money with it but my idea is to give money to get stuff. If this would be org. crime, it also would be when me and my roommates would buy an oven together cause only this way we can pay for it.

i think you're overcomplicating the term "group buy" that has been around for a while. This also was not your original "idea".

If it's crackable, the product could be reselled somewhere to get more money

there was a group of ebook readers who had that idea first. They donated money into a pot, bought books from it and made 'em into ebooks for all users.

It's more redistribution for the next project. In my little opinion no one but the developers of audio software would get money out of the pot. But maybe this part is a bit stupid. Temporary uncrackable stuff should be used as a gift for the groups.

That is categorically untrue. There is plenty of stuff that is not leaked. And how could you even make a blanket statement like that? Do you know every bit of internal software and what has been released and what hasn't? I sure don't.

I don't know what you mean by that but I know teams in both clubs and I can tell you for a fact that there are plenty of shares that don't get leaked. Just like there are plenty of members here that share between themselves and that doesn't get leaked either. You're right there isn't much missing on this site. We're really lucky to enjoy a very diverse catalog of releases and a majority of that is thanks to the groups. So nobody should be upset that the teams aren't releasing.

i was pissed about omniv2, because it was a way to early to release it.

i love it how people are now using the word "stolen", as if something with this release is any different than the others. Some guy made it available on the web, don't know who he is nor do i care. More than likely it's the same that leaked the original dune 2. At this point though how can you compare this to something a little more massive like Omni 2 that was just recently released? Yet no one is using the term "stolen" or leaked, at least not from what I read.

Because Omni 2 wasn't stolen or leaked. DYNAMICS released it and R2R followed with their patch, gen and Disc 1. Of course something is different. Someone that must have been entrusted with a private share took it upon themselves to release it without permission. That is a huge deal and one that can even be dangerous in the case that there was some personally identifiable information either embedded or included. I would be pissed too. How would you like it?

and this was stolen? please explain. Original installer was posted by mono on the original dune 2 post, page 6. I just made a thread out of it. I do not know where he got it from. And I don't know how this falls back on me as in "How would you like it?" This has nothing to do with me. Why the hell isn't anyone attacking "awake" for posting the original in the first place. I smell a double standard here.

Artic already did. He said it leaked from a hidden place. I'm not attacking anybody. I'm simply saying that nobody would like it if they entrusted someone with a release and they leaked it. I wasn't around when awake made his post but if Artic had posted the comment there then I would have said the same thing if I had come across it. Perhaps it has to do with the specific version of the release that leads him to believe that this one in particular leaked. I don't know, ask him.

It is apparent that this exact version was released in a place where only certain, trusted people have access to. One of those trustees took it upon himself to break with a prior arrangement of no sharing and not only liberated but then disseminated this synth far and wide. HE is a thief. HE stole and broke the trust of his comrades, NOT YOU!
