Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver screenshot
Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver
Hello, Not much to know, its a driver I found in Cubase7 when installed and FL Studio did not have it, noticed FL Studio runs better with low latency with it. Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver helps me create better sounds without much of the problems with crackling when producing. Glitches are no more when using/running a lot of vsti's in my DAW. If you are having trouble with ASIO4all like i did with the blue screen of death? try this out-it may help.

Enjoy,
Yildirim

Open you 'FL Studio', go to 'Options' on the top of the screen, choose 'File Settings' and click on 'Audio'. Try FL Studio homepage for more help if this does help you. Search Google etc..

Not sure about this one.

Has anyone using win7 64 bit had any positive results using this?

No matter! I'll give it a go and report back.

If the music is too loud... well, you are too old.

Trying to get this to work on a Parallels image of Win7 64x. I run the setup as admin, then a DOS window appears for half a sec and disappears. No new drivers in FL. When I go to data folder to install "manually" is says it can't load the respective *.dll file. Anyone having this problem?

How cute when noob "producents" and compositors decide to make some music, leaving us - pro techincians out of business. "You can do it yourself guys, don't hire anyone else" ;)

BTW that's the crappiest incarnation (except asio4all) of asio drivers out there. Please use decent audio interface, you can get second hand Audigy 2 ZS for example with buffers as low as 5 ms without crackling or audio dropping - for 10$. If you plan on crawling through this forum, do it. Many other interfaces have "hardware" ASIO in their drivers. It's pure audio - blasphemy - using this generic asio driver !

fl studio has mix in buffer switchs
triple buffer
multithreaded generator processing
and
multithreaded mixer processing
just turn them on,
i have used asio4all for years and its great,
buffer offset is 4ms by defalt,

@nerdbgd why would we want to hire anyone to make our own music ?

Thanks! Using Pro Tools 10 on Win7 64 and so far this worked way better than Asio4all. Plus I can use other audio programs along with Pro Tools (Asio4all only allowed one program at a time).

Yeah I know, but sometimes I just want to do or see a small thing while working on another and I have stop everything just to start Pro Tools. It's a real pain in the ass.

I think I will stick to the Asio4all that I know works well when bouncing the final versions of the projects but until then work and test this one that I think will save me time.

Some interfaces better work with the DirectX and some with the Wave WDM drver model. Your interface may work better with the low latency ASIO drivers, but mine may work better with the other one. Further more, both can be tweaked to get the best result for your working scenario.

As far as I remember, low latency ASIO driver is more recent than the DX full duplex.

@momo
You should hire technicians so you could focus on making music and not on solving technical crap. Artists usually are not skilled technicians, at the same time...

I had a Goa-Producer showing me that with this driver, he had a Sound with less Bass then there actually was. After he bounced it down, he showed me how the file sounded and it was quite a difference. we checked, wether the player had eq engaged, but had not. So my question to you all: can you confirm this driver has a different sound than the final Bounced Track?
