Cubase is a serious DAW, while Reason is a toy for people who want to play around in a virtual simulation of a studio stuffed with gear.

But sometimes we like toys, don't we? yes

Launching crappy loops with a plastic pad and doing 4 to the floor is not enough for some of us..

the funny thing is, ive never heard a trap beat with reason. Ive heard about 76,000,000 trap beats with fruity loops. Im also pretty sure that some serious heavyweights use cubase. Actually im positive. Old heads who learned on cubase, moved around with logic, mostly came back to cubase. I personally dont care, and i cant tell if youre trolling so whatever. Anyway, to crappy.... i totally agree. i re-wire reason to live and use it for thor sometimes and just play around on my laptop if im out, when i get home i try to recreate with hardware, if i cant... i use those samples and most of the time they are great. Finally to the poster, and cracker... THANKS a bunch. I really hope we can get a full crack for 6.5 to lay the basis for 7. Its pretty cool that they let you basically use reason forever except to save, but since i re-wire it doesnt matter... but if your crack ups interest in reason, and people start cracking RE's maybe ill fuck with it full time as my portable daw.

Well there's absolutely nothing within Reason I couldn't achieve (often even better) with VSTs, so why hogging my CPU with this Rewire shit? Don't know why people are so obsessed with sth like Thor, it looks ugly, sounds weak and gets blown out of the water by the likes of Zebra or Massive easily. yes

Of course with a powerful computer and some big screens you may have your fun... headbang

Very nice job CHAOS !
A little fresh air (lol) and hope is always welcome.

I don't really care about Reason, but dongled apps cracking is exciting. Things open up, not that claustrophobic dongled world.

PS : Cubase use a totally different dongle. Same than last Protools, Slate, Vengeance...
So there is no hope related to this one ;)

This will end the same way the unfamous Pro Tools 10 crack has ended... unusable nonsense (but everybody will say: Ohh, it works fine, I worked 5 days without any crash, blablabla)

Who is this retarded (drably) to say that Reason is a toys to play with loops?
Reason was always a great DAW, that only people that use real hardware understand how to use it properly!
I love Reason. I use Reason since version 1, and even if in these days I mostly use it Rewired with Cubase/Live/Flstudio, It's still my favorite "Toy".

drably, make us a favor, and go play with your Magix Ejay!!!

Yes I agree with TeamVTX, just because you don't understand how to use reason once you flip the rack around, doesn't mean that real engineers/producers don't. You must be either an Ableton user or Logic. Don't get me started on presets. Keep your ignorant comments to yourself, useful comments only!
Trust, but verify.

@ Nuro7177 and others users,

facing some troubles to get it working properly, here you have the result :
BUT I'm running it under 'XP Pro SP3' (x86 - 32bit), BE AWARE !!!

Reason 6 v6.5.3 under 'XP Pro SP3' (x86 - 32bit)

I must also admit that I don't still have tried to export neither a Song,
nor Audio Files,... I just loaded and played most of the Instruments, FXs, some Combis,... and till now all is working perfectly ! wink yes

Some of you should perhaps don't forget that EACH Reason version
NEEDS to find the 2 following '.rfl' Soundbanks inside the Reason Folder (alongside the 'Reason.exe') :

- Factory Sound Bank.rfl
- Orkester.rfl

So, check this point first, and maybe it will work fine for you too... yes

@ Nuro7177,

I also understand you... but as 'Team CHAOS' states it itself :

Propellerhead REASON v6.5.3 x86 Alpha Patch-CHAOS

So it seems to me that's only the 'x86' crack that's provided here, therefore it can certainly only apply under 'Win x86 - 32bit' OS.

At least it was a DAW with no real "Digital Audio" to work with for a long time. rofl

Just take it down a notch, Reason is not really difficult to use, it was my first DAW (after Rebirth), and I had my fun with it, but I began to hate all those restrictions Propellerheads imposed upon their users (fixed window size, no outside use of Refills, no project transfer to other people, no VSTs).

Reason is for masochistic nerds who want it complicated when they could have it simple. tongue

sonnenschein,
"This will end the same way the unfamous Pro Tools 10 crack has ended... unusable nonsense (but everybody will say: Ohh, it works fine, I worked 5 days without any crash, blablabla)"

Ignorance is a funny thing. The way the whole pro tools 10 thing ended was Team VR basically abandoned the crack because it was leaked as a beta, and someone on Audioz ended up cracking it themselves making it fully working. Sometimes you cant always rely on these teams, sometimes you just need dedicated people like that.

Btw i dont even really like Reason but it's good they are trying to crack this dongle protection, there might be more possibilities in the future.

@ Dokx1,

I don't want in any way to argue here which DAW is (or could !) be better than another one, but about :

no outside use of Refills, no project transfer to other people, no VSTs

1. Some Refills can have a part (or in some cases all the samples, 'REX', '.smp', '.sxt',... ) of their content extracted with a specific program.
But I'm agree with you that is not the case with many of them.

2. Various DAWs in their early days (and still now for some) don't permitted you to export full 'Projects' to others DAWs due to their own Proprietary Formats.

3. No external VST/VSTi in earlier versions... OK, absolutely true,
but what about using 'REWIRE' to send the desired audio to the desired external Plug-In for processing, then send it (return) where you want
(or need !).
Since recent versions, various Plugins (replicas of some famous third-parties VSTi/VST Plugins) are available for Reason...
