I see most of you think that PC users all use old, beat up, unworthy boxes...

That's your first mistake...

There is zero, I repeat.. ZERO reasons for me to need a Mac.. for any reason, that applies.. to my needs.

...and the one thing I know fore sure is.. that there are about 90% more Mac users on all the sites, continuously begging.. for plugins... everyday.. all day long...over and over and over..for the last X years..

Now.. I have to know.. WHY, would I ever need a Mac?

the truth is that PC's are more cheap and available and for some one that is just wants to play producer there good but try to have a serious client come in and Pay you hundreds of dollars to produce some song and then one day in the middle of the album your pc computer crashes then you lose all the song you were working on now your client wants his money back what are you going to do


ps PC's have there perp-is but not to producing Music and every one that has produced music and made money have switched from PC to mac

Come on bro, no disrespect but what you wrote has no truth to it. I work in a studio environment for the last 10 years of my life. There's both HP Z servers and Mac Pros. Dude, the only difference is the operating system. And, yes, they both freeze and crashes at times because of the software and/or plugins acting up. I own both at my home and it's the same story. Nobody gonna sit and tell me that the mac doesn't crash.

You claim "everyone switch". Who are the 'everyone'? Can you really claim you've walked in every single studios in the world and see that they are all using macs? You know every single professional in all continents, they all using macs? There's a clear distinction on providing facts and talking from a 'fanboy' point of view...Sorry but the latter seems to be applied from your comments. You'd lose that argument easily by just walking in my part of town, easily, because they all outfitted with both mac and PCs.

If a producer or engineer happen to lose their client songs, it's not the mac or PC's fault, it is their fault for not setting up a proper back-up system which every knowlegeable engineers and sudio owners put in place regardless if they run mac or not. In today's market, like someone said, a mac and PC use the same components, from the CPU, the Graphic Cards to the Memory. By the way, a HP-Z 800 configured to the max can go head to head with the fastest mac without a glitch. So, it's not like anything that's fast and stable is only on the mac side. An audio and video based PC/Server running Windows 7 with all the proper settings and configurations is not going to crash everyday, on every use and projects; no, they won't. This I know cause I'm around them 3/4 of the day, 7 days a week.

I could understand these comments about PC coming out if we were in, 2002. However, in '12 going to '13 with a stable Win7? (don't even have to touch Win8). Nah!! both mac and PC have their strength and weakness, bro... both.
