Before anything else, thx for your time. I don't know what i'm doin' wrong, I edit the .exe through Notepad ++, found and replaced the Public Key with the one provided by BobDule (taking much care about the copy/paste, trying to be precise). When I save the file the icon image dissapear and when I execute it a warning from Windows says that can't be executed. I've tryed through HexEdit too, same result. Obviously I'm ten billon light years away from this field of knowledge... 🤣

how does this one compare to TH-U? Is it worth the hassle trying to make it work?

TH-U wins the Amp+Cab section, Guitar Rig is superior for the FX section.

were you able to get it out of demo mode with BobbyD's public key fix?

EDIT : tried it using Notepad ++, it works. It's not that complicated. Just replace the key. I wanted to share the replaced VST3 but I think it's unique to each PC (key embed inside). Or else someone would've probably shared it already.

Following up on bobdule's solution, here I share the steps for n00bs like me on how I fixed the demo mode issue :

After doing R2R's steps here's what I did :
- Opened Notepad++ as admin, went to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 and opened Guitar Rig 7.vst3

- Pressed Ctrl-F to search for : MIIBIjANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQEFAAOCAQ8AMIIBCgKCAQEA6gn22pKfZNSeold4RsJ8

- Replaced :

This is what I get after doin' exactly as you say (I've done it several times..., through HexEdit too), look the changed file's size and the dissapeared icon compared to a back uped .exe;

Orig & mod exe

And a Windows pop up says that the file can't be executed if I try to launch the standalone.

Uninstall with Revo Uninstaller and try again.
Do R2R's steps first and then this.

I can confirm it works. Don't forget to replace old NativeAccess.xml with the new one before applying kg.
  Resident 15.11.2020 2 936

Did it 3 times, for some reason the .exe is corrupted after the mod attempt, even after full disabled Windows file protection. I guess I must give up. Thx a lot for your time!

Oh, when you open Notepad++, maybe check on the Encoding menu and ensure you have UTF-8 selected instead of ANSI. Not sure if that would be it, but worth a shot.
  Resident 15.11.2020 2 936
+263
Great point. I always set my editors for UTF-8 encoding, but since i've felt in love with Notepad ++ didn't check that 'cause never had an encoding issue. I've found that the software installs with the "UTF-8 without BOM" option as default, there's a simple UTF-8 option too..., I'll try it 2morrow. Thx Ali.

Use ASCII mod to open and save file.
When open texts looks random, but with search you can find the codes.
That's how I got it to work.
  Resident 15.11.2020 2 936
+263
I'll try that way too, thx a lot!

...whatever, far beyond the strange modification in the .exe & .VST3 files after try to edit them, my Phenom II x6 1100T isn't capable to load GR7, 'cause the soft does not load even as trial before any kind of mod attempt. Happened before with some of the newest Aurora & Bogren Digital vsts, surely are designed for newer hardware. Sad but true, a matter of logic, or market, is what it is. Time to go for my dreamed Core i9 Gen13...

Thx a lot to all of you for the tips & your valuable time!

same issues as you, without the cpu problem
better get an amd chip they

Which is your platform, AMD, Intel, DDR3/4/5? Perhaps many of us suffers a serious info lack about system requirements for each plugin. Actually I've realized that almost every vst review doesn't touch this topic..., I wonder why!
  Member 13.04.2015 1 231

Because it actually doesn't matter, any more!
Except , amd intel swapped places.
i use both an older 11gen intel notebook and amd desktop
the newer ryzen are pure killer!
  Resident 15.11.2020 2 936

....so, there are unknown factors that let to some computers run this & other plugins, woud be great to start a thread about this topic. Look, I really don't care too much about Guitar Rig, far beyond I'm very gratefull to R2R & the other teams gifting so many soft and knowledge. Most of us knows that there are many ampsims really superior to GR, but would love to really know why GR7, MLC Sub_Z, Laney IronHeart and some other plugins doesn't even start as trial (in my current AMD pc). Perhaps hardware, perhaps system or system's bugs, system versions, updates & patches, perhaps peripherals, perhaps GPT/MBR partition schemes, failed edition tools, etc.. Is an almost infinite list. Would love to know, but I know that TIME is something very expensive and very scarce too. But ALL the vst's that I've installed in my brother's Intel 11Gen machine WORKS, everyone. About GR7 still can't achieve a well done edit of the Public Key in that machine, so remains in demo mode.

I get this when I try to apply the keygen, what's wrong?

Please help

Presumably you have installed older NI vsts which validation interfere with the R2R process. If you go to the .jwt location and hide it for a while inside another folder, just for run the R2R key generator, the keygen will work. Anyway, you'll have to modify Guitar Rig 7.exe & Guitar Rig 7.vst3 later to turn them into full state. The procedure is explained along the thread.

All I saw was how to fix the Guitar Rig 7.vst3, nothing about Guitar Rig 7.exe.

What line to change using notepad++ in the exe file? is it the same for both Guitar Rig 7.vst3 and Guitar Rig 7.exe?
  Resident 15.11.2020 2 936
+263
Yes, the same lines;

This thead has 2 pages for now, perhaps you've just read only the 2nd. True, not every posts contains the full stuff to do, but as the Public Keys are stored inside the main .exe and the .VST3, both of them must be replaced with the one discovered by BobDule inside the last R2R's NI Massive release.

I confirm. I opened Notepad++ and immediately chose UTF-8 encoding. Opened Guitar Rig 7.vst3 and replaced the lines. I repeated the same with the Guitar Rig 7.exe file. Now, it all works.

Finally found the cause of the broken files after mod; my Notepad ++ was heavily tweaked to protect my eyes, dark mode, big fonts, no number of lines, special touchs for internal paths (text shortcuts) and external URLs..., went absolutely crazy..., for Christ... Just uninstalled Notepad ++, installed again, didn't tweak anything and modified succesfully the .exe, .vst3. & .aax.

Anyway, my hardware doesn't let me start GR7... 🤷🏾‍♂🤦🏾‍♂

I hope this not break any rule of AUDIOZ, here are the modified Guitar Rig 7.exe & the Guitar Rig 7.vst3 for all those who don't understand how to modify the files or don't wanna do it;

MOD VSTs

Thx again to R2R & BobDule, and to everyone for the patience and tips.

Let me know if it helps.

EDIT; Guitar Rig 7.aaxplugin added to the .rar.

Seems a DMCA affaire, & one of my discs blowed up in the morning, guess what... I'll try to download everything again and proceed with the VST's edition as soon as I can.

EDIT; done, but the .rar wont last there, so if u didn't solved yet... hurry up.

Bobdule's fix worked for me and I'm able to use the VST, but neither Guitar Rig nor bobdule's Kontakt 8 are visible in Native Access 2. The only thing it recognizes is Kontakt 8 player. I believe my NativeAccess.xml is up to date. Am I doing something wrong?
