It sounds like you are doing cool things from over here. Keep it up. There is all talk of this Demucs thing on the tracker of RipX and they seem to be getting on, best I can tell.

Strangely enough, there is one claiming he is V.R, not by name but claiming "his old release" of this, and that one part of the patch should not have been done - then it would be full. This is all very weird to me because this theory has been put to the test to the 10th power and it simply isn't true. And if it was, why not just release full then, as TCD encouraged(s)? - so I don't think it's V.R by gut feeling. No idea, really. Maybe yes. Maybe no. He was aware of the very unique title bar of RipX that I sent a screenshot of. Basically, it says RipX DeepAudio | DeepCreate | DeepRemix - just like that in the title bar thing, but it is only cosmetic. I never tested but I am thinking the menus need to show NOT greyed-out and this was the same as DeepRemix.

Changelog notes from 6.0.2?

My Windows 10 PC was crashing every time I attempted to Rip a track in this software. I tried flac, mp3 etc etc. It would get about half way and boom BSOD.
stopcode error watchdog clock timeout.

After some investigating, I updated the BIOS on my ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero motherboard and no more crashing.

Simply posting this in case anyone else has an issue.

This software is AMAZING!!

Which version were you using? 6.02 or 6.03?

Good job. When Win7 was in beta and for many years later, I repaired over a hundred BSOD machines a day on numerous forums, with causes being everything under the sun. ZoneAlarm (user misconfiguration leading to the stop, vsdatant.sys in and of itself was ok) and wifi drivers were high up there at the time as being culprits. DaemonTools, yup. ASUS and Gigabyte charging drivers/firmware when the functionality was new, so many things like that. USB3 drivers/firmware when that was new. Razer was notorious. I don't know if they cleaned their act up since then. I hope so. They seem to have cool products.

The reason it was so good for the community is that I had a method that would know if it was hardware or software caused, which involved a mental index of most known drivers (and versions) across the board and of course, other deep knowledge to supplement. I am sincerely glad for you.

I cannot recall an instance when it was told to buy or RMA memory, and it happened numerous times every day - and the thread starter came back to report I told to do wrong. That's how on point. heh :)

I believe that one came with the installer. This one requires you to download it yourself, with the included link. 1.5gb
I was drunk when I wrote this

if you already have the former RipX Deep Audio installed (5.2.6, not the TCD one which was Deep Remix under Deep Audio label) this version (i.e. DeepRemix 6.0.3) will overwrite your Deep Audio 5.2.6 so it is no longer accessible. It was a nice try though ...

Will revert to my Deep Audio, and leave stem separation for RX 10.

quote by Reverend AldenIt was a nice try though ...

If you're honest, you intended that as if there was a failure of some sort, when there was no such thing. The post is labeled DeepRemix because I am more familiar this time and know the software slightly better, and DeepRemix is what you got. If somehow there was a failure and I wouldn't want to look at it in this way besides to put things in perspective here, it would be you failing to read the thread title before install.

It was a nice try to make the release seem not up to its name.

Now that that is all straightened out and out of the way: If you're crafty enough, you can probably install them side by side by renaming the original program files folder of it to something else. i.e.: "RipX-BAK" Then put the one you want to the "correct name" (without '.bak or such) before going to use it in DAW. Untested, but in theory, it could and should work and at this time, there is no known reason why it shouldn't.

Do not do it with 6.0.2. The plugins are patched and this version here is like V.R version 5, and they are not patched. They might even be the same files. I would install V.R first then this post second, if trying in this manner.

Install V.R - Install V.R patch - rename to RipX.BAK - install TCD link in .nfo here - install TCD patch

Like I said, untested. So try at your own time's expense. Or don't. :) I almost forgot the sincere best luck with it, so yeah, that.

RipX uses demucs for AI stem separation. Currently they use Demucs v3. Demucs v4 was released a few months ago and it is a significant improvement, so I am really looking forward to the next version of RipX. Thanks TCB

Thanks TeamCubeadooby for this! And thanks everyone else for info on the other options. Had no idea there were so many projects around this.

forgive me for my ignorance but i downloaded the file here and the other file thats 1.5 gigs is that all i need to install i don't need anything else? usually the patcher is something you install after you install a software so i'm just alittle confused and didn't wanna screw it up.
  Resident 20.09.2012 5 446

You dont need anything else.
Just install the 1.5gb file first, dont launch the software after install ( uncheck the option in the installer), then finally run the patch. Dont change the path RipX is installed to or the patch wont work.

Hope that help.

If you're really set on installing it elsewhere, their installer probably sets it all up perfectly, as a guess. (To be honest, at the moment I don't know how the plugins call the .exe - it must be some registry setting, .xml file created at install or similar.) Then, install the patch. Cut and paste the single .exe over the one you installed, then delete the folder(s) made where the patch was.

Or just extract the patch with innoextract and paste it over your install.

I had the RipX DeepAudio 5.2.6 version. Used that fine to extract stems.

Is there really a difference between DeepAudio and Deepremix?
Worth switching?
  Member 28.10.2021 343

From the site: "RipX DeepAudio includes DeepRemix world-leading audio separation, plus the DeepCreate MIDI/MPE, audio and sample song creation system, and then adds advanced stem clean-up and audio manipulation tools to the workflow, so you can create the highest quality extracted audio, and tweak / create sound at unprecedented levels of detail."

So Deep Remix is a part of the total package called Deep Audio.

quote by mmmusika1Hey. Just to update.
I wrote a full guide for Windows 10 last night, step by step.
I'm in the process of adapting it to:
- Windows 7
- MacOS 10.10-10.12
- MacOS 10.13+
Since they all use different Anaconda versions (the environment that Demucs runs).
And make it very user-friendly, so any music producer can use it.
I will release it this weekend.
Cheers!

Really looking forward to this! Where can it be found when done? Thanks!

Hey, sorry for taking too long!
I spent this afternoon installing on my old MacBook.
MacOS has a lot of pitfalls regarding Terminal use, so it's way less straight-forward (Thanks, Apple!).
But the guide is almost finished now.
I intend to post it before I go to sleep.
