Anyone having trouble with predator 2, vst3 version? I re-installed it as vst2, then all plugins work. Just want to know if its only me, or not?

Can the 8GB be put on an external drive?

I remember after I purchased Blue (with every expansion bank) and RG I got banned from KVR and my emails didn't get replied to so I couldn't even get support anymore since his support forum was on KVR.

I personally think his stuff is over-rated and he peaked during the Albino days. All of his stuff sounds too similar to my ears, I don't believe the sound quality is high and the guis are awful.

Had the same issue with Predator 2, Punch-BD, Punch-BDMulti and Raw-Kick. The VST3 of those came up "plugin cannot be found" on Live, but the VST2 versions worked.

VST3 are wrappers for the plugins only. You can tell from their file size. In the original installer, if you only select VST3 you still have the VST2 installed regardless because they are required for this pseudo VST3 (which is lame) to work.

Yeah, the vst3 wrappers are there for these four just like all the others, as are the dlls (in common files/rob papen), so the wrappers for these four are probably looking in the wrong place.

A. A huge thank you to R2R. Extremely valuable move, to organize and release all of the RP synths and the rest of the devices in one package.

B. There is no such thing as "today's standards". Each producer/sound designer has his own taste, his own approach, we all love different things and we produce tunes in our own unique style. Synths evolving constantly doesn't mean that older synths become obsolete and useless. A synth is not yoghurt. It does not expire. Rob Papen has an arsenal of synths that have helped countless producers create fantastic tracks and sounds. Others never use them at all. Both sides are doing the right thing. I am not a huge fan of his synths and i also think that 2 specific synths of his are simply bad efforts. But using other synths from his arsenal, i created some of my favorite trance leads. I also made a ton of nice kicks and many of my boom bap tracks have the Sub Boom in them. Many times i read comments in forums that show me that enough people believe that producing means producing exclusively specific types of music, using specific types of synths. But producing is not only Skrillex/Deadmau/Astrix/Kanye etc. It can also be lo fi elecronica, drone music, 90's east coast boom bap, simplistic ambient with only 2 pads and a soft lead..
In 2022, we can produce legit tracks not only with older synths like Rob Papen synths, but also by using exclusively free vst's and free eq's/compressors/ etc.
