If you have previous fake elicenser installed from v16 and upward, you should not install provided elicenser. If you want to do that, you need to delete bunch of files from system to install latest fake elicenser to make it working.

Well WHY doesnt Pirat answer ? IF it was Steinverh Cubase Pro 11 CRACKED it would be a BIG BOMB and the ONE who would defeat Mfact or Elicenser wouldnt go " Shady " come on were not Kiddos that would be a Revolution So just as it is I DONT believe in it Tho I would like

It looks like the same as the "shady" one. When I kept adding random plugins into the DAW, it's crashed.
  Member 5.04.2017 89

To be fair, quite a few cracked plugins crash legit cubase versions too, the McDSP ones are the obvious example.

But I'm pretty sure this is just the VR version

quote by AeroflotWell WHY doesnt Pirat answer ?

Because PiRAT and The Pirate are two different people.
And as The Pirate said above in the Spoiler, he will not be responding for technical support.
The Clavichord is from the Late Middle Ages. It's not a Clavinet.

It seems you did not clearly read who published this.

And he ( The Pirate ) clearly wrote :
quote by The PirateI am not going to be providing any technical support so I will appreciate if everyone refrains from contacting me about it.

EDIT :

Oups, Smoove Grooves answered in the meantime .

only cubase fans will like this, far too much to install on a music production pc, if it works then good for you. i would rather pay for it to run as it should

Reaper, Studio One, Ableton, Logic... Cubase is going the way of Pro Tools IMHO, too. Also the newer versions are less stable than the older ones. People who use legit Cubase should just stop upgrading at a version that works stably and perfectly, like 8.5 or 9.5.

Btw. Cubase is prone to crashes, always was, legit or not [with legit versions being more stable, of course], that's why I abandoned it so many years ago. Just got sick of it crashing in the middle of creative madness going on. Then came The Reaper... and took it to a grave. Peace on Earth commenced.

I really like Studio One but they take forever to fix bugs (there's a sidechain bug that hasn't been fixed in a few releases) and then it can also take a while before we get updates here (not complaining, just a fact). I know people love Ableton but it doesn't jive with me though I wish it did. Plus I heard that mixing is a nightmare in it, though you could always transfer your project to another DAW for that. Reaper I tried to get into and I see that happening but I had problems with a lot of VSTs not passing scanning which was annoying. That was a while back though, haven't tried the new version.

I really liked Cubase when I used 5.12 and I know that a lot of people really get along with the newer versions. I believe Diskonnekted, Junkie XL and a lot of other bands I like are using that DAW. It has some really extensive features. I'm just trying to make the point that though other DAWs exist, there are problems with all of them in some way or other so they're not all viable for everyone. My biggest problem with Cubase is the hit from using elicenser. That's all I need a DAW that I'm paying for that's slowed down by constant dongle calls. Fuck that shite.

You have to take in account that people usually stick to one DAW because it's hard to learn a new one. Pretty much like operating systems - people like familiar things. I know a guy who used ProTools for like 15 years, and even when he bought Cubase he would use it just for MIDI instruments and mix in PT. It took him about 5 years to finally do it all in Cubase and ditch PT completely. I've been using Reaper for 13 years now and it grew with me during all these years, and when I try anything else I find it too complicated to work with in comparison to Reaper. When you're so familiar with something it takes a lot of effort to abandon it, even though it might be shit now. That is the probable reason people still stick with Cubase and PT - only a habit, almost addiction like, and not knowing how to use, or willing to learn another DAW.

Otherwise, everything is possible to do in any of about a dozen main DAWs these days. You just have to know how to use it properly. There are looooads of pro people using Reaper, Ableton, and Logic these days. Not to mention that some pros even use FL Studio, MPC, or Maschine, some only as a "side-DAW". The choice is yours.

You're absolutely correct, people are more likely to use what they've already become comfortable with. That's why I'm in it for the long haul with Studio One. I feel that it brings enough of the power of Cubase but the ease and simplicity of other DAWs. With the addition of useful ideas like Scratch Pad, it'll one day become unstoppable.

Catalyst thats a name I've not seen for a while!,hope your doing ok man,
Cubase is great I love it but i agree using up to version 9 is the sweat spot,
I'm using logic 9 on mountain lion on my mac!,being old and slowly losing
brain cells.I like the more simplistic version sometimes.I have payed for ableton 11 tho,i like that for generative stuff and maxforlive, also playing out live(not much of that to do these days:),maybe I can stay alive and do some more gigs.

Hey man, good to see you. How's everything? Everyday is a battle but I'm still fighting it. Some advice on those brain cells you're losing: the only way to truly slow down the cognitive decline that happens with age is by exercising. You can't stop it completely but you can certainly put up a fight by making this a part of your daily routine. Personally, I wish I would've known this sooner but better late than never.
