MAAT thEQblue v1.2.6-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 05 Jan 2020 | 24.0MB
A dozen precision variations on “analog,” all in one EQ.
Beautiful analog architectures, twelve in all, that will take your work out of the ordinary.

ThEQblue builds on the groundbreaking foundation of Algorithmix's Classic PEQ Blue, while bringing that reference quality into the 21st Century. thEQblue is a collection of up to twelve minimum phase equalizer architectures, all employing 80 bit floating point internal precision. We reverse engineered a variety of well respected hardware EQs, creating idealized digital versions from that inspiration. Rather than models or simulations that carry analog "baggage," thEQblue has no noise, distortion or other secondary effects inherited from analog.

Features
Fully parametric minimum phase EQ
Up to twelve unique idealized architectures, derived from analog circuits
Panorama control targets left–only, right–only, mono–only, L-R–only, or stereo
Optional live spectrogram
AutoGain for effortless A/B comparisons
Variable resonant ƒ tunings for common Western scales
Inbuilt tone generator for quick spectral navigation

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

* You need the installation of R2R-WAIFU.
* CodeMeter runtime installation is not required.
* Our release runs faster and uses less memory than legit version.

Special thanks to someone who helped unpacking with his legit license!

They researched the market but not technical things. It's also doubtful what
is the actual flexible part in WIBU, comparing to the iLok or eLicenser.

> Good copy protection gives you two major advantageous:
> Your investment is protected. We offer high performance, high value

You will get higher performace without that slow protection.

> Having weak copy protection empowers pirates to undermine your competitive

How can they know WIBU is strong and others are weak? Did they perform
reverse engineering and compared commercial protections?
Why pirates can take advantage over the legit version? Who decided putting
disadvantage to their product?

quote by waichwaichThanks. Did you compare with something like Crave EQ?

I did just a short comparison test after you asked.
Crave EQ has even lower THD, but shows some strange occasional (very high) THD peaks. Also has a bit lesser dynamic range.
On listening tests it sounds somewhat turbid and soft compared to ThEQblue. ThEQblue beats it in terms of precision, definition, transient response, delicacy and transparency (of course all of this is my subjective impression).
Crave EQ has an advantage of greater choice of settings though, and 16 bands, almost half of the CPU usage of ThEQblue and a greater speed, but it is the quality of sound for me that counts, and I think ThEQblue is a class in itself in that respect.

It has a more "analog" sound than Crave; the sound is more 3d and warmth (the best way to compare them is do a screech or crazy digital sounding fx in serum and try doing a notch in 300 hz same q with crave and the maat eq's. You will hear the difference. Maat plugins, mcdsp stuff (e606, etc) crave and sonoris mastering eq's are the best imo (dmg sounds good also but I prefer the previously listed)

Thank you guys for your honest and detailed answer! I forgot to mention earlier, but to me Crave EQ shines when in transparent mode: did you test with Crave EQ in transparent mode?

Transparent mode is something the dev came up with, and it does absolutely what it says: it is transparent. It does basically what FinalMaster said: it keeps the transient, preserves the consistency and integrity of the sound, introduces no harshness or artifacts, it's silky smooth, it sounds absolutely great! It is linear phase above the crossover frequency that you set in the settings, and "analog" phase below that frequency, with a smooth transition between the two.

A bit more details here: https://cravedsp.com/crave-eq#transparent-phase
Come back, on the fonky track

Just crashed Reaper at loading! Ok with Samplitude. But don't tell me that people are spending several hundred of dollars for a plugin with not the slightest shadow of a preset!? Bend over Junior I'm bringin' the vaseline!

Can someone help me out here?
What is the difference between theEQblue and the SantaCruzEQ.
theEQblue just has more features but has the same filters essentially, right?

i think, santacruz sfx is very suitable for foley and game audio sound editing, blue eq is the nice for analog tones. this year maat red EQ version will be published,
it will probably be the best analg eq on the planet.
but,
if the topic is transparent eq, MAAT Orange ,
maat orange is the most transparent and best transparent eq ever made,
this is the case among all transparent eq s.
example for low cutting. Due to the double IIR Filter the lowcut becomes a Linkwitz-Riley Filter. For me MAAT Orange the king of the surgical filters ..
I hope we don't wait much for Orangeeq..

So you provided R2R with what's needed ?
quote by stproit will probably be the best analg eq on the planet. .

The MAAT thEQorange is a digital VST EQ and will stay so.

The best analog EQ on the planet is the GML 9500. Developed by George " Jedi " Massenburg, inventor of the Parametric Equalizer - and NOT " just " perfected by him, as wrongly written on the MAAT home site - ( this is when one starts to have doubts... ).

I had never heard about this company until now and honestly thought the hype was bullshit... I couldn't have been more wrong! This is by far the best EQ I've ever heard :O Thank's so, so much R2R!

There is nothing " totally new " here. It's the exact same old code under license. So that ridiculous price.

Friedemann Tischmeyer and his lies is at least now getting hard times for his false claims.
He's backing up on his " no pre-ringing / no pre-echos " initial advertisements ( which is mathematically impossible ), as well as the " 80 bits double precision ".

As a nice demonstration, his various frauds have been deliciously exposed here. ( In German, subtitles translated in English available ) .

I still don't work for Magix ( no ! ), but it may eventually not surprise anyone here that Sequoia ( and Samplitude ), known for it's incredible transparency, uses IMHO the most transparent EQ available, the EQ116. But we're in 2020 and there are more than one amazing VST EQs available nowadays.

I did enjoy the Eng subtitles for the above ^ ("Elena face equalizer" and "orange eco lodges" (!) were especially memorable :D I'm not sure even Tischmeyer believes his own (obvious) hypey nonsense, since it appears in quotes and is reinforced with "my opinion" afterwards on the MAAT website. It's not even half of a Persing, in hype terms! I guess the people who want the eq must be people who can spend $1k as an afterthought, tho?
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

... some would die for the latest Louboutin ... $1k and more ...

Sorry for the YouTube automatic translation .

Very interesting channel IMO .
Note that the " Bob Rock " guy is Andreas Balaskas. His mastering plant is Masterlab - Berlin. We read he works on SADiE 6 with the Algorithmix EQs. His Discogs is impressive.

Tnx again Holy R2R

i use eq116 many years with samplitude. i think eq116 has amazing for tranparent clean hp lp filters. but i tried that eq s maat and eq116. I think the difference is only in the bass zone.
orange eq does not allow sound to go out in the bass zone
eq116 ok very transparent but, what is heard in the final is the dynamic decrease in the bass zone and the loss of power with eq116 ( linearphase mode)
therefore no loss of power in the bass zone when using orange eq (linearphase mode)
all written correctly
you can hear the loss when you switch these two plugs into linear phase mode
thanks again R2R we will wait orane eq win and osx.

For the Orange and Red EQ (red not being released by MAAT... yet)... I did find this:

https://audioz.download/software/win/63085-download_algorithmix-plugins-bundle-dx-v13-repack-x86.html

However, it appears to be legit infected with a VB trojan. So I would only try this on a test / sandbox / VM environment. It's been on Audioz over 5 years as well. That's pretty nasty!
