@Mud Jones , guess what, I un- and re-reinstalled Waves and Bass Slapper's here. Guess I must have inadvertently wiped it before, sorry to have caused alarm, my bad. Dunno how it happened.

The last one I downloaded, which was about 2 weeks ago, has EVERYTHING, even the pianos and bass sounds. The R2R version never had those. The last one installed over the top of the previous version that I had from 1 year ago, No need to uninstall or anything. If you don't use the instruments, I suppose the R2R version is better as it is smaller by 1/2.

I've been using WAVES plugins since they were Direct-X in the late 90s. They went VST in early 2000s. Today, I can load up an old project mixed with WAVES plugins from ~2002 and with the newest version of WAVES installed, the project will load with the correct plugins. WAVES is the RME of the plugin world - so to speak. I think that they sound great.

Ok I'm a bit confused. Is this bundle actually that Waves Central stuff? Because I have Waves Central installed, with about 30 plugins, but like a year old... so it'd be great if I could update them, BUT can I actually do that with this release? Or is this something completely different?

I am not 100% certain on this, but it appears that Waves Central is just their installation and update manager for products you have purchased. If you have a legit copy, then you would probably want to uninstall it and then use this release if there are plugins you want that you don't have.

If you download this release, install it, and allow Waves Central to scan for it, it will most likely un-registered/reported to Waves as being pirated/unlicensed.

Well, my Waves Central is not a legit copy, it's an R2R release as well. The reason I'm concerned is because I just checked, and I have 107 Waves plugins installed (I *slightly* undercalculated it, lol) and they are all adjusment-saved in FL Studio (some of them even multiple times with different adjustments) with pictures (icons) and everything.

I heard that updating them might screw them up, but if I uninstall them, I (also) have to re-do all the preset shortcuts (which is a LOT of work for almost 120 instances). sigh...

Does updating these Waves vst's reset the settings of Waves in my current projects? Or it doesn't affect them?
I remember I tried the other day to update and all my project mixes were lost because it turned back to the defaults.

In th epast, there was the information, that the waves plugins are blacklisted ins Cubase legal version.

Can anyone tell me if this works with Cubase 8 legal ?
