@Alpha0ne the bug there talking about fixing
can also be fixed in the old version by adding a new blank folder called _z
into the main preset folder, that way all preset folders
should show up and the blank _z folder will be missing in the browser window
and not a preset folder with presets in it.
Only took 3 years for them to fix it.
Just hope they added a tab to shut down analytics.

Massive tries (on first launch, before you can turn it off in settings) to connect to the ip 93.184.220.20, which has the domain edgecast.com and redirects to verizondigitalmedia.com. That's a digital service provider that also provides a "content intelligence service to optimize workflows" and online monitoring. Sounds kinda creepy.

Btw. in VR's release, the tracking option is turned off already but Massive still tries to connect at every start.

The good thing is:
we can add these adresses to the hosts file and the IP as an outgoing firewall blocking rule using a simple script. But first I'll check if there are more attempts to connect somewhere.

Did you select a proper vst dir? VR's installers always install the plugins into the old standard steinberg dirs and when you use other dirs or maybe another disk for your music stuff (like me), then you have to select them in the installer, otherwise your DAW won't find them. Don't know why VR doesn't use the typical vst plugins path reg key, which almost always works and which also gets recognized by nearly every DAW.

It's true that they could have fix this.
But this is a trick to solve loading time, it works for FM8 too:
1. Open FM8 or Massive, in stand-alone mode
2. Go to File>Options> Browser
3. At bottom of Database options, you will see a drop-down with a label above it called 'Database Hit-Count Display'. Click on the arrow for that drop-down, and change the option to 'None'.
Et voilà, instant load.

i was working on a project on ableton, pulled up massive, picked a cool sound from it and saved all my work. Turned off my computer.

I then come back at a later time, turn on my computer, open up ableton, play back the same track I was working on and realize that that massive changed the sound to it's default sound :/ why does this happen?!
